    Hey hypno

Don't let the !!!!!!s grind you down. The OP of the DFW v BR post doesn't know your situation the way you know your situation, so don't wate your energy fretting about it.

I got really upset this afternoon at the post about DFW vs BR boards. I know I should just let it go over my head but to think that anyone can judge us like that makes me  I think I have taken the whole thing personally and I shouldn't do that.

What? Has that sort of thing kicked off again? Don't worry about it.

    And that's an ORDER woman!

Seriously. It's not worth getting upset about. The trolls will flock to that area now, which is a shame.

Hypno, you musn't be upset by that silly thread. The OP was not having a go at the vast majority of DFW board habituees, just a few individuals that have been outspoken in criticising people who take the BR route. You've never done that,I've seen posts from you which are very balanced and respectful of everyone's individual decision and approach.

When I see a thread like that I just don't read it. It can only upset you and spread negative vibes and we need all the positive energy we can muster for our long struggles.

Most people on here are very positive, so my advice is ignore the few that aren't.

Thank you all for that, I am much calmer now and probably just annoyed with myself as much as anything for letting it get to me.

Anyway, I am SO over it!!!! Bovvered

Tomorrow I am hoping to do some more matched betting - did a little today but would like to get back into it more - my target of £50 a week is lagging a bit so more effort needed!

I am also going to get some tomato and courgette plants tomorrow to go in the newly dug garden. Very DFW/OS and yummy too. I may try peppers too, but have never grown them before so not sure of the success rate, but on the basis that even the value peppers have gone up in price at the supermarket, it is surely worth a try!

I read on the :money: newsletter about claiming back mortgage exit fees. I had a mortgage with Nationwide that ended when we moved 4.5 years ago so hopefully there may be a few pounds there to come back to me. I will be drafting my letter tomorrow.....:D

The same newletter also prompted me to send off for some free chocolate samples :D:D Well, it would be rude not to wouldn't it as Martin had gone to all that trouble to let us know about them

Sorry about the Barclaycard Hypno xx

Try not to let the recent negative posts about DFW bother you too much - we all know what a lovely supportive place it can be. Your posts are always well thought out and positive, as are the majority on here (except for mine, obviously, which are generally just random ramblings lol), these little spates of arguments surface every now and again, but they will pass.

BTW - free chocolates??? I need to go and read my email more closely!

Hypno, it's a pain about the barclaycard :grouphug:

The whole DFW vs BR boards thing gets to me too - at the end of the day money is very personal to us all, and we all feel at some point to another that others are judging us, and that's where the tensions can start. I truly hope that the situation will calm down, as it makes me worry about what Martin thinks about the people on the boards.

Very jealous about your garden BTW - I live in a flat on a main road, so when trying to stay at home to save money I don't even tend to have windows open much!

Tried to do some matched betting today, but everything that I did either has odds that are not worth chasing, or needs me to wait for my freebet to be credited!

So I have paid out money for qualifying bets and have nothing to show for it at the moment (story of my life!).

Oh well, things will catch up over the next few days, but it really does seem to be one step forward two steps back for me this month!

Why is it that May seems such a long month - we are only 4 days in but I am sure it should be at least the 15th !!!!!

Better get on and load up some mystery shop questionnaires......:o

Hi Hypno ...sorry to hear about the Barclaycard...if it's any use they are meant to be hard to get as they have lowered a lot of peoples credit limits and have adopted a rather strict policy on lending....as they lost loads of money last year...I rang them about mine yesterday and they said it's with the underwiter...whatever that means!!!
You'll soon get into your matched betting again..so...good luck with that...and your mystery shopping...neither of which I've tried yet

Hi Taxi, at least if yours has got as far as the underwriters you are in with a chance - they obviously took one look at my application and stamped "reject" on it right away, and sent the response out by return - Do not pass "go" and most certainly do not collect £200!!!

Oh well, trying to do at least 4 mystery shops tonight. Would like to get more done but there is only so much excitement that a girl can take on a Friday evening
