Morning! Glad the matched bets went well Se999. The money will build up nicely to a very worthwhile sum over the next few weeks and months if you continue. I would never have done it without this site, and watching other people dip their toes in!
Today we are off to a National Trust place for a mystery shop. We are all going so hopefully the sun will stay shining (it is at the moment, but it is still early) and we will be taking a picnic to make a bit of an outing of it.
I also have a client that I booked in yesterday - I know I am on holiday, but the money will come in handy, and it is only one client, this evening.
Also going to try and do at least one more matched bet - I have freebies that need to be used before the end of the week, plus I have plans for the resultant money!!
That's it, money wise I think for today. Oh, yes, OH has to buy new tyres for the little car -he has searched for the cheapest but I think we need two, if not three. It will have to go on the credit card sadly.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. The Deals section of Tesco.com is always worth a browse, it's easy to miss when they add new things.0

Morning Hypno - well done on the bets. I'm intrigued about the moose, have tried all sorts of things food-wise but never eaten moose!! Are you ready for the £1000 challenge? Not long to go till we get started! I've been racking my brains here for ways to raise money, think there will be a bit of eBaying and a lot of chucking change into a jar.
Hope you have a great day xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
The moose was lovely - we have had it when we have been over to Norway but I have never cooked it myself. It was a success though, so we were all happy!
Am ready to do the £1000 challenge - anything to get that egg card gone quickly!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I am cutting and pasting this from Seaxwyns thread as I thought I should have it in my own diary too to remind me what I have pledged to do:
I have decided in my quest to become organised (ha ha) that I am going to buy a new diary. If I get an academic one, it will start from now, and it will be run alongside the business and "home" diary because if I get one with appointments in, I can plan my day/week properly, get more structure to it, and hopefully stick to it in the same way as I would if it was a client booked in.
So for example, the children leave for school and DH for work at 7.30, but the student won't leave for school until 8.15 so I will do something like:
7.30-8 tidy kitchen and pick up after everyone has gone to school.
8.15-8.45 do clicks and surveys online
9-10 do housework/flylady
etc etc with clients obviously added in, but in the gaps where I would normally while away the hours on here, I can put in specific things to be done re admin/tax/go for a walk/do the ironing etc
It might all be a bit too much, but I feel a real timetable may be the only way forward. I can't really start it proper until September when the kids go back to school, but as this coincides with my one day job then I hope it will work ok. Will give it a go and see how we get on!!
First on the list - get a diary :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
It'll be like a school timetable.:rotfl:
Will you have a [strike]milk[/strike] coffee time? And a playtime?0 -
If you've got Outlook you could use Calendar, you can enter tasks and it comes up with reminders onscreen. I've used it for birthdays etc.. OH has his set up with reminders for meetings (not sure if his is Calendar, or something else though).0

If Hypno is anything like me(which I sincerely hope she isn't in so many ways:rotfl: ) a proper tangible diary will be best. I've got all sorts of diary/calendar thingies on my computer but working on them only leads to me being sidetracked into doing all sorts of non-essential stuff on-line. It's amazing how many 'productive' hours you can lose that way:eek:0

Good luck with the diary - it is a great idea and I hope it works!
We tried something similar a while ago, and it was really good but very easy to fall off the wagon with no hope of return! It was amazing how much stuff got done in a day when you actually set your mind to it rather than just pottering around! Problme I had was getting DH to stick to it - it didn't seem fair for me to be running around when he was sitting in front of the TV!
I bought an academic diary last week to keep not of all the pregnancy related stuff between now and March, so I might try something similar, cheers for the tip - I'd forgotton how useful it was for the short time that we stuck to it!0
