Thanks Sea, I think I will just take a limited amount of cash, and no other way of paying, just in case!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Well, instead of going to Tesco and going completely off the rails, DS offered to run an errand to the local Budgens in exchange for a bar of chocolate for his efforts! Deciding that this would cost me less than going to Tescos because
a) didn't use the car, saving me £2 in petrol
b) didn't get caught up looking for "bargains" when I don't need anything more than coffee and milk!
So the cost of the chocolate was offset by the savings above, and DS was happy because although chocolate is a "big thing" for me, the children only get sweets and chocolate as a rarity - they need to eat properly for all the sport that they do!
Today I have a couple of clients to see, so that is good, and OH has an extra shift in his second job, so it makes up for my quiet week so far! I have some paperwork and admin work to do, but as it is supposed to be a nice day, once the clients have been seen, I think I will relax with the children in the garden, and will make something for dinner that will taste fab outside. Perhaps I should put a bottle of white in the fridge to start chilling now.....;)
Yesterday I read on someone's thread that if you get an appointment with Hillarys blinds through quidco, you get £20 cashback. So guess who is coming to measure up my conservatory on MondaySuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Oh what a lovely day you had yesterday! I felt *very* hassled, for no good reason (tripping over the laptop lead and having it fall on the floor didn't help tho, lol). Work-ish day for me too today - and I've just accepted my first assignment for gfk!!! Thanks hypno! And I hope your work today goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi KC, I hope today is a little less fraught for you than yesterday!! Mystery shopping is easy enough - you won't get rich on it, but it is relatively easy money and all helps!!
I have just checked online banking, and child tax credits have been kind enough to give me an extra £57!! I am assuming it is because I renewed at the last minute this week and they are balancing the books, but at least it is in my favour, not the other way round! Perhaps this means I will get a little more on a monthly basis too!
Right, better get showered and dressed, otherwise my client will turn up and I won't be ready. Oh, and I think I have time for just one more coffee tooSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Thanks! I may actually be doing a new thread in a few days time, I'm still in two minds about it.I have just checked online banking, and child tax credits have been kind enough to give me an extra £57!! Hurray! Chunk of good news, and hopefully a recurring piece of good news.Right, better get showered and dressed, otherwise my client will turn up and I won't be ready. Oh, and I think I have time for just one more coffee too
More good news on the coffee front. And .... hypno..... I don't know how to tell you, so I'll just come out and say it. You probably shouldn't see clients when you're still in your nightie! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Great to hear you're having a good time of it at the moment hypno. Can't wait till I can get my two to do the shopping though it's a few years of yet!
Hope your clients aren't to strenuous today and your neck is improving. I've got the morning off and don't start until 12 today. I always work less in the summer because of the children which is nice. DH taking the children camping tonight in a friends garden so i've got peace and quiet. Yeahhhhhh!!!!! xxJanuary budget

hi hypno
have sent you an email with attachments of carrot muffins (electronic carrot muffins, yuk!). Anyway, you know what I mean. Sorry its so late - I was out for ages, have only just got back online, hope its still of some use.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
LJD, hope you are having a peaceful time.
KC, the muffins are in the oven as I type - will report back in 25 mins or so!
Tomorrow we are going to the new flat of my Mum's godson - he is 22 this week and is very autistic so this is his first flat away from home, where he will live with a carer. I need to come up with a birthday/new house present but because he is autistic, everything has to be particular or he just won't want to know.
So, wracking my brain for ideas, I have come up with a food/household hamper idea - teabags, sugar, biscuits, loo roll etc - all the things you need for your first few days in a new flat. Need to make a list and get to the supermarket! I am stuck for any more useful ideas than that which I can get easily at this time of night!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Right, the muffins are out of the oven and look and smell divine. I will have to do a quality control taste test at some point..........of course..........but hopes are high!!
The children have gone off to buy the birthday hamper goodies - I am sure that we can decorate fairy liquid and tea bags and make it look interesting for him!! Sadly our local store doesn't do stardrops, otherwise they would be making their presence known!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi Hypno, the hamper sounds a great idea. cover a box in something shiny and cling film with bows on it over the top, I'm sure he'll be really chuffed with it and will see the relevance and get excited going through it all.
Sweetdreams. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0
