I can never understand NHS logic, £64 for a cushion is cheap compared to the cost of treating bed sores, let alone the discomfort factor  It's lucky you went when you did and found out.

The last time I had Yarmouth market chips was as a teenager too. They were somehow different to chips in other places. It sounds like they're still good.

Oh, dear chips and chocolate all in one day. Your thread isn't doing my dieting good intentions any good at all :o

But treating them comes out of a different budget.

Doesn't matter about the overall waste, just that individual budgets are saving.

Besides, it hasn't cost them that. They've managed to screw the money out of a caring relative.

    I believe that's what's known as a "win".

Yup, chips off Yarmouth market are as good as I remember. I had a dollop of mayonnaise too - best £1 I have spent for a long time!! I am really glad that I was not disappointed - sometimes the things we remember as being good as a kid, are nothing like we remember when we revisit them!

Grandpa is pleased with his cushion, so I am more than happy to have spent the money. Some things just are not worth worrying about, and this will be one of them!
