Thanks OliveOyl - I think I actually have 14 days to cancel the new insurance so I may do that and start again.

Thanks P - I will shout if I get stuck! Hope you are ok!

I have still got to get out and go to the bank. Also it is DS's school fete, unless it is cancelled due to the weather. I would much prefer to stay here and drink coffee but should really get back behind the wheel before my confidence deserts me for ever. I have got a shiny new car to drive so the only thing that is stopping me is me!!

Thanks Piggin (don't know how I missed your post when I replied to the last two!!).

I am now confused, because I have had two firms of personal injury lawyers ringing me - one is appointed by my insurance but no idea where the others have got the details from. They did know an awful lot about the other parties involved, so they must have got the details from somewhere. But where???????

Perhaps one of the other injured parties? Maybe they've rung them up? Or perhaps from the police records etc?

:D Thank goodness, eh? I reckon some of them must have spies though and as soon at they hear of a traffic jam, they're there and getting the info!

The petrol voucher arrived this morning - thank you so, so much.

    Not a problem!

I like OliveOyl's rec re insurance article on the main site, that could be really valuable. And I hope you've managed to get behnd the wheel of your shiny new car, and have a shiny happy time - isn't this the thing thats the last primary school do you'll ever go to? Really hope you manage to get there.:T

Got to the bottom of it - one firm was appointed by the insurance broker, and the other by the actual insurance company. Talk about the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing!

Have just done the last school fete :j Bought a couple of books at 5p each and some tomato plants, coriander, sweet basil, spinach and cornflower plants that the school gardening club have grown, again for 5p each so I think that comes under DFW expenses!!!
