Well, I didn't get back to catch up on MSE during the day because I have worked 9 hours solidly in the coffee shop today!!! So that is 9 hours of skiing that I have earnt for the children 18_6_1.gif so pretty good, although my feet are killing me!!!

The rain disappeared very quickly and we had a very hot and sticky day - ok for the spectators, but hard work for the skiiers, who are in full ski kit - helmets, boots, gloves, long sleeves etc all day, so I have two very sweaty and smelly children back home ready to get straight in the shower!!

I hope everyone else has had a good day - mine has been a NSD (race fees were paid last week) as I took packed lunches so very successful!!

Great stuff Hypno - well done on being so organised! Have you more work planned for this week or is it another quiet week?

Hope you slept well KC! My children have introduced me to all the smilies so they are my current new "toy"!!

Today I am hoping to go and collect a cheque that is due to me, to visit my Nana, do a mystery shop and finally this evening it is DS's leavers' concert at school, so we have to go and listen to the delights of the primary school for the last time!!!

Tomorrow is the school fete, and DS wants to do a stall, so I have been instructed to buy some ping pong balls and some sweets as prizes! Also he wants a plain white polo shirt purely so that people can sign it on his last day!!

I am planning a bit of an energy audit in the house over the next few days - obviously I have been thinking about the amount of petrol used and the children are on board in reducing that. I am going to see how many light bulbs we have that are not energy saving (most of them are) and try and find some cheap ones by searching this site. Also, check the water temperature, because I am sure this can be reduced etc etc. I have had a look on the energy saving trust website, but it doesn't tell me anything that I don't already know really.

We have tried saving water by putting bricks in the cisterns but sadly they don't seem to flush properly!! So we have to try and work out the optimum size of cistern brick in order that the loos still flush properly, otherwise it kind of defeats the object of water saving if you have to flush more than once!

Ooh, hi Sea - you posted while I was typing!!

Another reasonably quiet week, but I also have to finish off the recording of the meditation stuff, so we are doing that this week - also have to write the blurb for the website that is marketing them etc. We have a "finish off" session later this week so I need to get that done. So lots of work to do this week, but little of it paid at the time! Oh well, hopefully it will pay off in the future!

The adult education vacancies are out now so I am hoping that I can get something sorted there for September.

I find about half a house brick is ok, but I guess it depends on the original size of the cistern. Morrisons currently have energy saving bulbs for 39p - proper bargain! Not sure if there is a morrisons nearby - perhaps someone could pick some up for you?

Thanks for that, Sea - not only do I have a morrisons nearby, but I have a £5 voucher that I got from filling up with petrol there! So I could get essentials, like bread and milk, plus some energy saving bulbs without spending any real money :j

Am putting it on my list of things to do today!!

Hiya hypno - yep, did sleep well, surprisingly not too muggy, tho of course we were covered in mist. Energy saving lightbulbs..... I used to be so good at that, its kind of slipped, but at least while I was slipping they slumped in price - 39p!!!! I remember spending a tenner on them! I have a few old style to use up, and of course you still can't use them with a dimmer, but will be finding the best place locally to buy them soon.
