Oh hypno I am so so sorry to read that. I really sympathise, I know so well that two steps forward, one step back feeling. Only in your case it's 8 steps forward 1 step back so don't feel too depressed.

Especially dont feel depressed about me beating you to 35k we can abandon the race if it makes you feel worse, and you've still got a good chance of beating me anyway (unless the market for 20 year old engineering text books picks up of course).

Have a coffee, go and sit in your garden and think about all the good things in your life and how everyone in DFW-land is rooting for you. Then have a look at whitelily's post 'does the taxman owe you money' as this looks like potentially good news for us parents.

Oh Hypno - big hugs coming from over here too. Not sure what to say that'll make you feel better - you've done fantastically well and this is a tiny setback in the scheme of what you're achieving.

Ok, so having had a bit of a wake up call, I am ready to fight on!

DD has friends round for tea and had asked for pizza so I spent my nectar points on pizza, garlic bread and ice-cream so the birthday tea cost just £1.83.

Three things are now listed on ebay - they are quite specialised CCTV equipment thingies (technical term, that) so they will either go really well or not sell at all!

Letters all written ready to go to the post office - I would have sent them in the local post box today but I really want them to go recorded delivery so need to make a special trip.

I have seen the thread about being able to claim child tax credits for past years - I have no idea whether I am due anything but it is certainly worth a letter and a stamp. Nothing to lose in trying.

And I have done a little matched betting today. Not much but in profit by about £26, and will do a little more tomorrow.

OH did about 10 hours overtime in total so although it will help when he gets paid, it will not make up what we have so obviously spent

I am off shortly to see a client but when I get back I think I will have to start preparing July's spreadsheet - don't want another shock now, do we!

    Hi Hypno

First of all it is a minor setback and secondly look at the amazing amount you have paid off so far this year alone, that is remarkable!

You will bounce back and I have no doubt you will bounce back even higher!
