I see your mac and raise you my XPS 15.
But it's made of plastic! And the Asus and HP laptops are MacBook Pro prices anyway.
Still waiting for someone to come in and tell us about their bendy plastic £400 Dell laptop having the same processor as a MBP...

Actually, my comment was posted with a generous degree of levity, in the happy afterglow of a fine roast luncheon with an excellent bottle of Burgundy. Naively, perhaps, I forgot that zealots have no sense of humour. :)

"Poor grammar and spelling", however, is indicative of a slovenliness which when carried through to the process of reasoning all too often renders comments that flow from it invalid (as is demonstrated liberally and daily on MSE).

This is exactly how all Apple product owners talk. Probably a side effect of the toxic compounds in the iPod Nano they used as a suppository for some sort of Apple fan cultist demonstration.

And that is exactly how deranged Applephobics express themselves, betraying, in the process, their inadequacies in reasoning, intelligence, knowledge, perspective, language and courtesy.

I can't comment on Apple Macs, but am sitting in the pub reading the forum on my Samsung N140, slow as sh** off a bent shovel, and small screen, but I just realised that it is reasonably well put together and feels solid and the keyboard is only slightly smaller than a 15" laptop, nice feel to the keys too , still it is going very well after 3 years . And the screen is not reflective (put that it because the sun has just made a rare appearance. Anyhow end of my ramblings and will leave the debate to you afficionados, going back to the bar to get another drink

I would say avoid acer and Hp,

Sony make some nice laptops, and dell with their purchase of alienware have a good range through them.

Apple a great from a stylistic and battery life point of view, but useless when you actually want to do anything.

But really it comes down to the specs, better specs better laptop. Cheaper the laptop the worse the build quality.

And could this be why we ignore your comments?

Oh, and by the way, this paradox will be my last thought on the subject.
