Have heard that sometimes APN need to be set manually.
'3' i.e. '3 internet'.
You can also use wi-fi hot spots to watch ads and earn data.
In case of probs, ask the experts at

Blue Max is right - it should work in any 3G mobile.0

As far as I know, Samba SIM will work with any mobile phone with 3G connectivity.
Says here http://help.sambamobile.com/Faq/Answer/51 that it won't.0 -

I have only used it with Nexus 7 (which of course is a tab) and a laptop using a Huawei dongle for the SIM.
Was thinking of buying a Star S7589 phone based on the Mediatek MT6589 Quad Core processor.
A Samsung Note 2 clone but only about £125.
Star is dual SIM and I was planning to use the Samba SIM.
I guess it won't work
May the ovivomobile SIM would as it has voice, text and data ?! May be not :sad:0 -

Says there that it's not designed, not that it won't work. The only thing that you won't get to use on your phone is phone functionality, so it will essentially become a touch screen Wi-Fi 3G modem (or tiny tablet), but it will work (subject to phone lock permitting).
In other news, my HTC Wildfire, which hosts my Samba SIM, protests that it is a phone, and it won't have it any other way0 -
You should still be able to use the phone functionality with a Samba SIM provided that you have a smartphone that can route calls over the Samba data network.
You can get a geographic number from Flextel for as little as £1 and link that to a free SIP provider. You will probably also have to install a SIP client (softphone) such as CSipSimple, on your smartphone too.
So, you can have an incoming geographic 'landline' number on your mobile phone for next to nothing!
To make outgoing calls over the Samba data network sign up for https://www.dialnow.com and you can get outgoing calls for just 0.1p/min. to UK landlines and 0.7p/min. to UK mobiles. But just make sure you use the MobileVoip app for outgoing calls (rather than any other SIP client) otherwise you don't get these really cheap rates.
You can set up DialNow to display your Flextel number on outgoing calls. So, in effect, you now have a 'landline' number on a mobile phone for as little as £1 upfront cost and no ongoing costs, either from Flextel, your free SIP provider or Samba! There are even ways to wangle a free geographic number from Flextel so avoiding that minimal upfront cost!!!0 -

You can actually have one for exactly nothing from Sipgate
Everything else you said though stands.0 -
They are being very generous with their adverts at the moment, I have been clocking about 100mb a day for the last few days on my laptop.
From 4pm today (wednesday) till 12 midnight tomorrow,it is double data for watching the non lucky dip ads.0 -
With a few double data days and more ads than usual, July was a good month for earning Samba data.
I got 2400 MB.Highest ever this year by a long way.
