I started watching the ads to earn some data as a backup in case there is a problem with main ISP or when in a location without a wi-fi hotspot. Having earned 5.3 GB since the eve of 28 November, I want store away the Samba SIM and to quit the habit of ad watching. :D

A while back, a someone at Samba forum thought SIM will be deactivated if not used for 3 months.
But could not find anything in T&C or FAQ about minimum usage or Samba deactivating the SIM.
Samba T&C 4. 'Earning Data Credit' state, "Data Credit earned from watching advertisements will not expire."

    Does anyone know?!

If you buy a three SIM with 1GB of PAYG data via topcashback you receive £13.71 cashback

As the SIM only costs £10.49 delivered then you make a small profit & get 1GB of data for free

Nice deal. Does it name a date by which the sim must be activated?

o2 print that on theirs - typically 9 months from receipt.

In my experince, with some merchants, it take as much as six months to get cashback.
I ordered the 3 SIM on Sat 2 Feb and got cashback today :T

Yeah, I wouldn't be convinced they'll keep sending them out. And you have to remember that cashback isn't 100% guaranteed. How do Three know when to start the data allowance?

There is a review of SambaMobile by the independent site 'Mobile Network Comparison'
    http://mobilenetworkcomparison.org.uk/reviews/samba/

Couple of in-depth interviews with SambaMobile CEO and co-founder Ben Atherton can be found at
    http://mobilenetworkcomparison.org.uk/samba-mobile-interview
    and

Thanks for this. I hope they do another interview soon as it's very interesting to hear that they are growing faster than Giffgaff already!

From the date you first connect to the network

I would like to keep the 3 SIM for any future need.
Is there a time limit to start using the SIM after purchase?
  • I joined the scheme yesterday and during spare moments have been steadily building up credit. I have managed 192Mb, but now I seem to have run out of ads to view.

192 MB in one day is good going. After earning about 1 GB, ads offered every day tend to get very few.
  • Just trying to find out how these ads work....

By 8pm yesterday I had exhausted the ads, but a few more became available a little after midnight, so I was able to increase my credit to 220Mb.

This morning, there were another 32 which boosted my credit to 332Mb.
