There is a review of SambaMobile by the independent site 'Mobile Network Comparison'
http://mobilenetworkcomparison.org.uk/reviews/samba/

Couple of in-depth interviews with SambaMobile CEO and co-founder Ben Atherton can be found at

Is it just me, or did Samba fall over last night and never came back? My phone isn't getting a data connection. I've moved the SIM to the dongle and enabled debugging, and what I see is that Samba is kicking me off immediately after authentication. Three's SIMs work though.

The SIM was working last time I used; which was 27 Jan. May be you could try 'ask the community' section at Sambamobile website.

Mine worked just fine until yesterday. I noticed it wouldn't get a data channel last night when I came home, but thought it would fix itself, as it usually does when the data channel is lost (it does this from time to time, and rebooting the phone brings it back, but not this time).
• Can someone please refer me on Samba website....I am keen to get a micro sim.

Is it just me or is there hardly any ads to watch on Samba lately?

It has somehow let me do 'overdrawn', and is asking me to watch more ads to get back in the red.. but there's no ads...

I'm not spending cash on it as that defeats the object.

My Samba connection started working again yesterday in the afternoon, but I didn't realise it because my phone thought the year was 1980, so all the SSL certificates were invalid from its point of view. That meant Google's apps couldn't sync, which in turn means the data icon didn't switch colours, and the Play Store kept saying "no connection". I realised my date was messed up when I opened a browser for Google and got all these certificate warnings.

As for Samba, I'm not sure how small that company is, but all the messages were signed "Kaydian" (with other companies I'm used to getting a different person for each and every reply, and never the same person twice). They may be tiny, with Kaydian doing all the support :) If that's the case, here's a beer to you Kaydian!

See post #281 above
• This info may well be posted elsewhere but thought it was appropriate to post it here as its free internet access

I've been using samba for a while but am less keen now since they closed the loopholes allowing you to build up lots of credit quickly so ...

If you buy a three SIM with 1GB of PAYG data via topcashback you receive £13.71 cashback

As the SIM only costs £10.49 delivered then you make a small profit & get 1GB of data for free

Its also repeatable as I've placed two orders & had both cashback track

I strongly suspect they will refuse to send out any more SIMs after some preset limit is reached so intend using this sparingly & recommend others do the same

Thanks for the heads up. :)
I ordered one through TopCashback.
Unlike SambaMobile, the 1 GB data expire after a month. So will try ordering again after that.
