• Received my Samba SIM about 10 days ago. Been viewing their adverts for about 30 mins each day ever since. Built up about 600MB quite quickly and looking forward to using it.

However, when I logged into the MySamba section of their website it is showing that I have been using my SIM. Even though I hadn't put it in my tablet yet!

It's all small usages per day (0.01 MB) according to their website, and it says this usage started even before they delivered the SIM to me. :rotfl:

Something very fishy about this!

I have now put it in my Nexus7 tablet and it seems to work fine. Although it does seem to take off more credit than my tablet's own data usage counter says I used.

Can't complain too much as it is "free". But I'm hopeful someone else will come along and give these guys some competition so they are forced to be more accurate/honest about credit usage.

@ Ali Baba
I got an emai from Samba this morning.
Apparently they are doing some system upgrades.
Partial quote: "MySamba details should be back visible by the end of today."
" it does seem to take off more credit than my tablet's own data usage counter says I used."
I have'nt received the SIM yet, but your comment is worrying.
May be you could email support@sambamobile.com

Thanks for the email address Blue_Max. It does look like the MySamba section is playing up. Hopefully, it will get sorted soon.

Samba Mobile seems perfect for me. I'm not a heavy 3G user as I'm not in transit for much and use wifi instead. So my tablet says I have used 2.51 MB but MySamba says almost 30MB has been used. I really hope this gets fixed soon. I quite like their offering and want it to become a successful business for them.

One thing I have noticed recently though is how quickly they are running out of adverts for me to view. When I first started using it there seemed to be endless options. Now it's down to a handful plus the usual "buy credit" and "refer a friend" icons.

BTW. did anyone find that the ad for 'Samsung Galaxy Note II' in the 'lucky dip' icon doesn't earn credits?!

If you do not use your SIM for 3 months, it will be deactivated.
