I have just tried to obtain a SIM twice and both times I manage to get through the PayPal process and then when entering a delivery address it fails with the message "Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request". I am worried that I have paid twice and will still not receive a SIM. Has any one else had this issue and if so did the payments come out of your account?0

Well I got the " proscess failed" message but they have taken my paypal money. I'll give them a week to deliver it and then take it up with paypal0

Has anyone managed to get this working in a smartphone? particularly a samsungS3
My Samba sim works in my following Androids with stock ROMS
Hauwei U8110 Pulse Mini on 2.1
Hauwei U8510 Blaze as a wifi hotspot on 2.3.5
Teclast TPad tablet on 2.3.4 (via dongle)
Just remember to turn off wifi
If you still cant connect, set up a new "Three" APN name in your wireless settings mobile menu
APN three.co.uk
No username or password or MMs settings need filling
reboot the device and all should work0 -
On sunday I placed an order for a sim; I used the MSE Promo Code and went all through the process with Paypal.
Samba website didn't confirm anything and I had been charged £1 but I was not able to sign in.
I have emailed Samba and according to them I have never been a Samba User.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Thanks0 -
I've been reading this thread with interest, i also saw the deal in the email and since i'd just bought an ipad mini and then discovered i couldn't use my iphone to tether with giffgaff :-( i thought it was good timing. I bought a MiFi device from Amazon (using gift vouchers earned from surveys!) so the few times i decide i need internet on my ipad when i'm out and about i have the option.
When ordering i had a bit of trouble at first when the code wasn't recognised but i tried again and it was fine. Best guess is the first time i typed the code and pressed ENTER and the second i typed the code and CLICKED the actual button, like i said, just a guess.
The payment and address details went through fine. Paypal confirmed as £1 purchase during the login process so that was fine too.
I've been 'watching' ads to gather credit until the SIM arrives, i have just under 1GB so far, not bad for a few days. My moblie phone data use doesn't usually go over 250mb so i'm hoping i'll be set for a while, although all the mention of Samba using more data than normal is a little worrying.
I'm not sure if this is correct but i think you will get the max amount of ads if you list all the topics in your profile as Very Interested'. At first i chose a few, watched all the ads and then changed my profile to be interested in all and got more ads instantly.
Oh, just a note also, i'm sure anyone who just ordered a SIM this week will have had the email from Samba but it seems MSE has caused them to be overloaded with orders so i've yet to recieve my actual SIM. (Makes earning credit before receiving it even better!0 -
does anyone know if Samba will work with smart phones with Symbian OS ?
Also, is it possible to watch ads using laptop/desktop and then transfer credit to mobile phone?
Thanks0 -

You watch ads while logged into your account, and it's your account that is associated with your SIM, so you can watch ads on anything that would play them, on any Internet link (broadband, cafe wi-fi...)
I don't have a Symbian phone, but I have a Series 40 phone that I'll blow the dust off later and see if it works. That phone worked just fine with Three. I predict the Samba SIM will work fine with it as well.
As far as the phone is concerned, it should look like a normal mobile SIM with a data plan. Your Symbian phone will have to speak 3G though.0 -
I'm 2mb under 1GB in 4 days, I kept selecting "not now" in my preferences when asked, I do it with volume down watching tv on netbook/Playbook.
Got 350MB on sim got for dad, 1GB a month will do him & pulling his broadband and saving £20 a month as is paying for something he rarely uses - email & internet banking mainly, think I will set up the Windows Live Mail in Windows7 to pull his email as online login is just using data he does not need to use and free Samba data should cover him.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

The phone is a Nokia 5800 running Symbian v9.4 OS
It has Wi-Fi and 3.5G.
It takes only one SIM. Would it mean that voice calls can not be made when Samaba SIM is inserted?0 -
