Wow what an encouraging thread!:T I have been comping one year so far and holiday in California is my dream win, still trying and hoping.

So far I won weekend in London, 1night in hotel, train travel and £100 to spend. Going next weekend.
Won that online with Metro magazine from post here in MSE.

Would be great if you guys who won those amazing hols also posted how you entered them please(online, phone, post?)
And where you found the competition(here on MSE or some Comp paid magazines?)

I won a three night holiday to Los Angeles which included all transfers, tickets to the Nickelodeon kids choice awards & £500 spending money! It was fabulous! :j

I've been very lucky and spoilt with my holiday wins....

I got back this morning from a trip to the Bahamas, for a week, including 5 nights in a hotel where nicole kidman and penelope Cruz have stayed ohhh and included my wedding. Photos to come.

Other trips in time order, i've won a few short uk breaks too to Warwick, chester and a not great spa in northampton which i've not included.

2009 Panama 2 weeks, the last week was all inclusive on the beach a few days in a rainforest resort and a few days in Panama City
2009 Florida, a week in Orlando with spending money, car hire, entry to three parks including Sea World and swimming with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove
2010 Week in Valencia, Spain. Including meals, activities and having a paper mache version of me made and then burnt as part of the Fallas festival... it is a long story.
2010 Short trip to Rio Brazil for 4 nights.
2011 Paris 2 nights
2011 Bahamas one week and day trip to harbour island
2011 Two week spy themed trip around europe, berlin, prague (including driving a tank), switzerland (white water rafting) and finishing up in Venice.
2011 New York 3 nights in the 5 star Bryant Park
2011 Tuscany 5 nights including spending money, private hot air balloon ride, trip to Florence.
2011 Venice 3 nights in a 4 star hotel
2011 Five night trip to Grenada and St Vincent via Barbados
2012 Bahamas, week long trip for 4 people including all food and a WEDDING!!

Mostly online, panama was on the radio but i entered online to start with, some have been ones that I made a fair bit of effort with, so new york i made my bf run to a pop up shop across london with a copy of marie claire... i think when he agreed to do that I knew i had to marry him. Also he filmed me dancing around stonehenge doing 'pagan' dancing and we used that film to win us the trip to Rio. Tuscany was a random instant win online with peroni, florida was a text through ok! magazine. The wedding we made a film, got votes and then it was judged. So a real mixture. Good luck with it.. I do enter lots.. or used to. Been rather hectic recently with the wedding stuff.

2009: first ever win was a holiday to Vegas and arizona, 5 nights, flights, hotel suites, dinners, drinks, hot air balloon ride in the desert.
(won this through selfridges, simple entry, 5k entrants)

2011 jan: holiday to la for 5 nights with spends, hotel, flights, transfers.
(through miss selfridge, simple entry, 10k entrants)

2011 July: trip to Venice with heart radio, including Hilton accommodation, gondola rides, being on the radio (whole team came with us and we broadcasted from the roof of the hotel in Venice) and spends.
(250 word effort, had to say why we were the best couple to go, and have a phone interview)

2011 Dec: 5 nights in cape town, flights, hotel etc. with dial a flight advent calendar. Simple entry. Unsure of entrants. Going this nov as we wanted plenty of time to save spends (saved 300 so far!)

2012 jan: 5 nights in switzerland with skiing and a music festival. This was on fb with desperadoes, simple entry, page had 6k likes so def no more entrants than that. I couldn't take this because I couldn't get time off from work even though I thought it would be fine and it was fixed dates only (always read t&c and if you can't go, don't enter. Saves massive disappointment. Nothing worse than having to turn down a stunning prize.)

Holiday wins are my fave thing. Desperate to win a week somewhere lovely with my boy this summer. Going nowhere all year until nov is a long slog. Lucky dust to all, hope you found this interesting!

I never thought I'd win a holiday but I've been so lucky which is brilliant as I could never afford holidays myself, I hadn't had a holiday since 2003 when I last was able to work but then went on Deal or no Deal in 2008 & with my winnings I paid for myself & my friend to go on 2 holidays to Sorrento & Turkey. My friend acted as an unpaid carer when I was completely housebound so it was nice to be able to repay her. In 2010 I won 3 UK holidays which were lovely but I always dreamed of a holiday abroad so was over the moon when I won an all expenses paid trip to Kenya last year & 3 other UK ones besides. Then this year in January I won 2 holidays, one in a luxury Scottish lodge & one to Nuremberg but the biggie came just last week when I got a call from Celebrity Cruises to say I'd won a 13 night all expenses paid Western Mediterranean cruise with Smooth FM. I cried when they told me as it's been my dream since I was a child to go on a cruise but never in a million years thought I would. My friend cried too bless her cos her husband refused to take her on one for their 20th anniversary even though she's always dreamed of it. He wasn't vry happy about her going with me but like I said at least he doesn't have to foot the bill

Like I said I never dreamed I would ever win such amazing holidays so never give up hope, one day you too could get a call to say you've won your dream prize.

Great thread - some people's lists are amazing!

I won a 5 star all in trip to Egypt but the company went bust before we could go. However i did get some compensation which helped to pay for a trip to Lanzarote

A week in a national trust cottage in Anglesey which was gorgeous

A valentines mini break in a 5 star hotel in London

A mini break to northamptonshire for the royal wedding - a hoot!

Flights to Hanover

and yesterday i won flights to Cancun! So excited! Holidays are always my number one dream prize.
