I won a 7 night trip to Tokyo which was all booked and then the tsunami happened three weeks before I was meant to go so it was all re-booked for us to go to San Francisco instead - had an amazing holiday and it was great until the credit card saga a few months later which really ruined all my memories
But the holiday was really good.
I won a Hurtigruten voyage North cruise along the coast of Norway which we went on in February. Scenery was amazing and we even saw the northern lights :j

A few years ago I won a weeks holiday in Austria, which was lovely. I've also won a short break in Fowey, Cornwall, a short break staying in a Castle in Edinburgh, a short stay in Swinton and in July I'm off again for a few days to Buckinghamshire on a spy day experience!:cool:0

I won a holiday to Korea in 2010. It was a country that I would never have chosen to visit but it was an amazing experience and the people are so friendly and kind. We has our own personal tour guide who took us to some amazing places and was definitely a trip I will never forget.
I think that's what makes it more exciting entering holiday comps, I'd love to go somewhere I wasn't sure about so I could experience something a bit different!

Wow! Amazing thread and some amazing wins :j. Holiday wins are definitely the comps I enter most, since my wife and I are flexible on dates to do being freelancers.
In 2010 I won a trip on the sleeper train from Edinburgh to London with 3 nights 5* hotel, top price tix to any West End show and £250 spending money with my local radio station. Major gripe that despite what I just said, the dates were set and I couldn't go due to work commitments, but I managed to transfer the trip with the promoter and my parents took my place :j. But the other day, I found out I won on the Marriott Facebook comp, and the winning letter came in the post the other day which entitles a 2-night stay for 2 with breakfast at their York hotel, so my lady and I are looking forward to that! I really hope to win us a holiday in the Med though - with 7-day working weeks, and 12 hour days, I think we need it!0 -
I've been really lucky and won 3 holidays over the past few years.
I had a 3 day trip to Ibiza to go to Ibiza Rocks, which was a lot of fun.
Then a one week stay at a private villa in Majorca for 4 people, which was so amazing we actually paid to go back there last year for a family holiday.
The best one was a 5 night holiday to New York last year, my sister and I stayed in an amazing 5 star hotel that I could never afford to stay in otherwise, and got to go to a movie premiere while we were there.
I'm about to give up work to become a full time student again so a win is my only chance of a holiday for the next few years!0
