Have been searching for maps of the venues detailing where the water fountains will be, but not found any.
I did come across this which seems to indicate that there will be no water fountains at all!

Any body heard anything else? I'm hoping this is wrong.
If true that is totally out of order!!!!! (the link I mean) I dont think much to Mr Coe, used to love him as an athlete now he is just a power hungry politician0 -
I've got some juice cartons -just looked they are 0,25l (1/4litre) so I believe I can take them in with me. Have I got that right? TIA.0

Here is the information on liquids including drinks, suncreams, cosmetics and it states you are allowed up to ten containers with a maximum of 100ml in each. You are also allowed an empty water bottle you can fill up from the the free drinking water points inside (so empty out the water bottle you arrive with before going to security).

Hi,
I didnt realise ALL alcohol was banned from entry (doesnt indicate this on the website).
We took 2 tiny vodka miniatures (5cl), but both were confiscated.
Not a huge problem as we'd had them since the Millenium and never used them, but be warned!
Cheers,

Hi,
yes, that document says you CAN bring liquids in if under 100ml, which these were.
However, the Security said ALL alcohol, even 50ml, was banned.
No queue at security at all. No-one in front of me all the way thru.
Cheers,

Went to O2 on 28 July fro 1st gymnastics session. No queue at all for security - all staff very pleasant and quick - didn't have to turn out bag at all.Well organised and had a great experience - EXCEPT FOR MASSIVE QUEUES TO FILL WATER BOTTLE.FYI - you have to join the enormous queues at food outlets which appeared drastically undrestaffed and disorganised.I waited for an hour to fill my own and grandchildren's bottles. All that needed to happen to enable swift filling was to have separate Q for purchasers and water fillers. The poor staff were very nice but wer filling up bottles from tumblers of water which they first had to get from??.Even better would have been water coolers situated all around so we could do it ourselves!Bringing own food was no problem - mine, for family sharing, fitted easily in a rucksack. You can take up to ten 100mls liquids - there are 40 mls liquid products in tubes in supermarkets - found these very useful.0

Thanks for the information about security. Seeing water polo tomorrow! The document does list alcohol among the prohibited items.0
