I've done one listing on my main account and all was well, sold & completed okay. I've also opened a 2nd account just to be on the safe side should I decide to do any more in the future (still laughing all the way to the bank from the last one !:D)

I guess it depends on the description you use and whether that will draw Ebays attention or not.

Think mine was quite toned down, having looked at some of the others subsequently. Had a few questiuons and photo requests already though...hmm..
  • I know, I know I need to have a clear out but not sure if swollen, puffy feet have the same effect in pictures with this heat.

I bet when you started this off you never realised the monster you were creating or at the very least you should have got 10%+ commission in true MSE style from every person who sold shoes / socks / slippers as a result of this thread.

PS How have your sales been?

Never listed a single pair! Don't think Granny Shoes/slippers have the same cache, although the aroma may be the same.

As I am a genuine pensioner now, no longer a pseudopensioner, all donations from successful 'well worn shoes' sellers from this thread will be gratefully received and will boost the state pension:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hi
I have just joined and was interested in this thread. I have been an Ebayer for 3 years and although I no longer sell worn items, and concentrate on selling other things now, I can honestly say I made hundreds within 1 year selling well worn shoes, boots and items of lingerie. Ebay has now clamped down on the well worn lingerie and every so often it will take off (pardon the pun!) the well worn lingerie listings.
I sold a horrible pair of my old boots to a man who paid me nearly £100 for them. They only cost £15 and were not even leather! I left them outside in the garden to get damp and smelly and stuffed them with my boyfriends sweaty socks lol It worked though! The man who bought them loved them.
Most of the people who bought my items were professionals - and used their work addresses for me to send them to. If you offer to send a pic of your feet wearing the shoes/boots for an additional cost, that often works too.
I added my private email address on the main page for description and would find lots of replies asking for a private sale. I created an email address just for that.
As I said I dont do that anymore as I was running out of shoesand I was ending up having to trawl the second hand shops for worn shoes lol but it is a good way of making money through Ebay.

Can I ask the question about the sellers' address too... is there a way to hide it from the buyer, both on paypal and ebay? :)

Fascinating thread by the way, I might have to list something! :D

Eww. I have been quite shocked by this thread. I must of led a sheltered life. i don't think i would feel right selling anything to anyone knowing they were going to use it to get off on.

Does lingerie included 'used' underskirts or underdresses? Would selling these be against the rules?

Just opened up a second Ebay seller account and it accepted my mobile number no problem.

Oops scrub that. Listed my first items on my new account over the weekend and they had to have a landline number to complete the verification.

Sorry to doubt you Soolin - should have known better than to challenge the resident Ebay expert! :D
