Getting BT Infinity installed on 21st, anything I should know?

Morning again guys.
Big update today.
Had 2 openreach guys come around yesterday, and after a few hours they've got my DSL line stable and not dropping. Unfortunately, other problems arose.
First of all, our telephone line was affecting the broadband line hence the dsl dropouts, after that was fixed, we had a deafening noise on the landline, this has since been fixed. We're still suffering broadband dropouts, but the DSL isn't dropping, so this has to be investigated by the BT Wholesale team. So I'm basically playing a waiting game now.
Our speed has picked up massively, and I'm going to be looking into a powerline adaptor cause I only achieved these speeds by cable and I want them upstairs on my overpowered desktop :P (gaming and such)
And we were estimated 76mb/s down. that's not a bad estimate considering the actual down we're getting.
We're still getting capped around peak times even though being on the unlimited option 2 package, but this has been noted by BT and they're looking into it.
So my question to you guys... recommend any good powerline adaptors? I'll probs be looking for 100mb/s+ speed ones.
Thanks in advance
Most powerline adapters are now 200mbps versions (although note this is peak, real speed will be lower).
These are good: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-PA211KIT-200Mbps-Powerline-Ethernet/dp/B004INVKP4/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1337854796&sr=1-1
I've now found that some 500mbps versions are available although you're probably limited to the quality of the house wiring: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Link-MBps-Gigabit-Powerline-Adapter/dp/B005FVOKM8/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1337854796&sr=1-3
So they may not be worth the extra outlay.

Thanks retepetsir!
I'm probably going to get the 200mbps ones, I didn't realize that powerline adaptors are that cheap. I'm sure a few years back they used to be a few hundred?
I think 500mbps would be pointless, as that's going to be over 5x the current down rate we're getting and even if we upgraded to 100 down in the future, the 200mbps set already has us covered.
Thanks again

Got an ad from 7 day shop today, they are doing a 200mbps pair for £33ish.

No idea if they are any good, but they are less than I paid for my max value 85mb ones. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Do your own research but 200mbps adapters will not actually achieve 200mbps - probably much less than half that in real life conditions. You may well need 500mbps ones for your fast connection. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I know they'll achieve less, but hopefully will still be above 80 mbps right? I'm gonna have a quick look in Argos and see what they do, might stop there on the way home from work.- David0 -

Very unlikely! The advertised 200Mbps is purely a theoretical maximum data rate. You may actually get 60mbps if you are lucky.
Don't be lazy - run an Ethernet cable upstairs and save your money! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Not gonna lie, that was my first idea. Only problem is, my Mum was completely against it. Powerline was the only other viable option.
Do you reckon it might just be worth getting a 500mbps adaptor?- David0 -

For FTTC with BT you only require the username, which is an email address, and it's a default one from BT.
To get to the router it's http://bthomehub.home or I think 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.64 (cant remember which)

BT take a lot of stick(some deserved). They upgraded me to Infinity. The process was painless. I went from 5 to 27mb. Things like Sky Anytime work painlessly. I am pleased with what they have done.0
