Hi Juno
As an expert on Enid Blyton books, can you advise where is the best place to sell them?
Many of the ones I have aren't listed on Amazon!

HI
Has anyone got any experience of selling old children's books (many are hardbacks from the 40's and 50's - lots of Enid Blyton and a few are first editions). I have listed a few on Amazon, but have had no takers.
My worries about using ebay to sell them is that you don't always get what the book is 'worth' as you have to start at a level to get bidding started.

I recently sold a Noddy book involving the Three Golliwogs (am I allowed to say that??:)) - I priced mine at £10 which was about what all the other copies on there were priced at. I described book honestly, bit aged, pencilled name in cover, dj slightly tatty but good for an over 40 year old book.
I got the most glowing feedback ever. (I was worried they might complain about the condition), however it seems they were delighted with the item and service and felt the book was in better condition than I had described!
Quite honestly I dont think I would have got anywhere near the amount at a boot sale so I was quite pleased and it was just languishing in a drawer.
Plus it went as a large letter so I was happy.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Well I think I just found the Amazon selling fairy, but she's scared off the Play.com fairy - no sales on Play for 2 whole days.
Must get back to that mountain in the garage - why won't a quart fit into a pint pot??

I was just looking through the list again..I'm surprised this one is on there:
Stormbringer (Tale of the Eternal Champion S.) by Moorcock, Michael
I'm sure I've come across that on more than 1 occasion..I buy quite a few sci fi books so will keep an eye out for it.
It was only put on recently. £20 for one in Very Good condition or better. Funny thing is there's older versions available on .com from 30cents!Do You Twitter?

Hi wilf, I know that Amazon puts it's dates in the American style of month first then day (think 9/11) but that doesn't answer your question exactly, that makes it the 7th of January0

Wilf, I know there are some date and closed sales related glitches at the moment. There have been threads about this on the Amazon seller connection board where dates come up in advance of where we are [IYSWIM]. Its supposed to have been sorted but I have a random closed sale from some time ago in my open listings. Its not avialalbe for sale but just wierd it has popped up
Had three smallish sales this week and one on GM that went for more than I would have got on Amazon :j AND I have remembered to delist it from Amazon......0 -
I need the amazon selling fairy to pay me a visit - no sales for almost 3 weeks now - and last Monday was the first time I hadn't had a fortnightly payout from Amazon since the end of August  Have 75 items listed atm - a good range of things too - was getting about 3 sales a fortnight before (even when I was at about 50 items). Oh well fingers crossed for a sale soon.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
