I can't carry on paying pro seller and only selling 25-29 books, yet if I cancel my pro seller I will have to delist a number of books that won't be worth selling, and with 980 books currently listed that's a huge job I don't look forward to. :( I will have to make a decision when I get back from holiday I think.

If you sell about 28 books it is only costing you say 4 x 84p to carry on - and that, to me, is worth it not to have to delist and change prices. It isn't the whole of the pro seller fee you are losing - only the diff between books sold and the number to break even (32?)

Things have to look up in May!!!!

Hang on in there and have a great holiday!

still cant find book and no others for sale what should i do

send buyer and message and offer refund an book up to the same value (50p) free or something!!

That'd be my preferred approach if you cant find another for sale anywhere.

    Bummer .... :(

    Hi

What are your experiences of penny book listings?

I have not listed a couple of these as there were loads of others for sale for a penny. Last night I listed one where there were about 10 others for a penny, but I put mine at a higher price. By this morning it has sold!!

I am not sure now whether to go back to the other penny books and try the same. If I was looking for a book, I would go for the cheapest, but perhaps others don't???

Just to add to the discussion about sales in general, I am only selling a couple of books a week, but my CD's are flying out (in the last few days, I have sold 2 or 3 each day).

    wow donna

i used to list 1p books for a penny but recently dont list if there are a million and 1 unless there is something special about my book like like new condtion or something if there are only 1 page i list but for say 25p and i have still had sales above the 1 p ones did have 100% feedback tho which made me feel i did have an advantage that was until a plonker bought a book and left me neutral feedback so now it stands at 92 blasted % so do not feel as confident about doing it

he still hasnt replied to my email

listed book as acceptable detailed all the faults in the description he said it wasnt in as good a condition as he expected have offered him full refund if he would alter feedback but no communication on his part whatsoever

Lots of buyers skim past 1p listings to "proper" pricing. I don't list any now for 1p - I usually pick about 50p or more depending on the ranking, the other sellers feedback and the new prices. Still sell them though! - just sloooooooowly at the moment. If there are 2 or more pages for 1p with loads for sale, I don't bother though and consign it to the box for ebaying in bulk ....

wow ! Found this on page 3! Are sales that bad??

Anyway, thought I'd tip off the folks here about amazon associates and aStores, there's a convo on the referall board about it and how easy to set up they are.

BTW, this isn't actually a referall as I gain nothing if you sign up for one, but it fits better on the referall board than here! Here's the link - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=440011

P'raps sales are so good everyone is busy finding their books and packing them up?

My Play sales still outweigh my Amazon sales, so I'm glad I signed up.
