Went to a jumble sale today, picked up about 20 books for a couple of quid (thank goodness it wasn't more:eek: ) have just checked them out on Amazon and they are all virtually worthless, most are listed for around a couple of pounds and as they are heavy books I would lose out. Looks like another load for the charity shop:o . Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets it wrong....:rotfl:
Did have one potential success as one of the books is listed for £10.AMAZON SELLERS CLUB MEMBER 0082 :hello:0 -
Just sold another 2 books yesterday - both were sold within 48 hrs of being listed. Both are books that I am not that keen on and are just taking up space at home.
I won't be making much money at all out of them but am just glad that they are off my hands.
Seems, from my recent experience at least, Amazon Marketplace is quite busy of late. In fact, I did not think either book would sell and hey ho, they are now gone!0 -

Could you tell me what GM is please. I have lots of books - including some foreign ones - that are neither or Amazon nor on Play and I'd really like to get rid of them (for a few £ obviously)

Hi maxine - it's Green Metropolis (https://www.greenmetropolis.com) the books all sell for £3.75 and the seller gets £3 of this - you then pay the postage out of this £3. For heavier books there is an option to add an extra amount to this to bump it up a bit.
The books are sold on the basis of just 2 being shown to the buyer at a time so your book starts at the bottom of the list and works it's way to the glorious day when a customer actually gets to see it, it could be a long wait if it's a book that they have lots of already but it's better than having no sale at all
I'm not sure that your foreign ones will be accepted though but you may as well have a look and list what you can.
Have you looked at www.readitswapit.co.uk? you can offer your books up for a swap and only pay for the postage of your book0 -
Thanks Tycoon, I will have a look.
I have been selling on Amazon on and off for a few years and I found that they do expand their list. Last week for example I was able to list items that I couldn't list 2 years ago. But their system is a bit weird. I have series of books and they only offer some of them (not the whole serie) but then you find 1 or 2 in another language.Maybe if I wait another couple of years, I'll be able to sell a few more (but if I try Readitwapit I'll have new books but still no extra room - I just can't resist books
)

The swapit site is useful to swap an un-amazonable book for a better one, I swapped a 1p book for one that just sold for £15.0

I think you should drop the "apprentice" from your name. You're WAY past that stage2009: Headphones, Nintendo DSi , Baking Kit
