Hi, Just a thought on this skip button. For me it would be great,I know you can use the thank button, which I always try and do anyway, but this would save going back in and out to have a look. The worst problem I experience if catching the spam button as I swing across to press the entered button so if this were to be move nearer the thanks button that also would be great. But, hey, I am SO SO grateful for all the comp posts people make I am certainly NOT complaining in anyway, I am delighted with the forum, thanks.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

The thanks button.
Discuss.

Personally I have no issue with clicking it,Just seems polite & pleasant to do so.
Many do not,but that is their perogative.
I often use it as a note to say that I have seen the post as well.
I do wonder sometimes when it it is used as a discriminatory tool ,as in never,or rarely, clicking it on certain OP's threads/posts.Each to their own but just seems a strange way to conduct what should be a pleasant pastime.
Until recently it was the only way to show a comp had been entered as well .
Maybe we could discuss discriminatory thanking as well :-)
Possibly the members that do discriminate re the thanks button would like to post as to their motivation?
One member does come to my mind who,for whatever reason, seems not to thank any of my posts.Maybe a point is being made but what it is I cannot see ?0 -
Weowens - Just to add to my note above about using the thank button to show I have looked at a comp and mentioning that I would use a x button if it was introduced. Sorry if I didnt explain myself properly - I was in no way saying that I would use this instead of the thank button. I am a strong believer in the thanks button and try to remember to press it whenever I can as I am most grateful for all the help poster give.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

I only tend to thank the posts that I have entered but that's out of habit from before we had an enter button.:o Even if I didn't like a certain poster, I would still thank their posts as a common courtesy and out of politeness.
I also thank posts when people provide the answers/links and when they notice that a thread is a dupe and request a merge. I just think it's politeness, to be honest and couldn't imagine not doing it.:o2019 Wins

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the formatting of the forums - I am not getting my usual view. Do I need to do anything?0

When i try to log in, after entering the correct username and password:-
1) If I do NOT tick the "Remember Me" box I get the usual "Thankyou for logging in One-Eye" welcome message and I am forwarded to the forum but I AM NOT LOGGED IN.
2) If I tick the "Remember Me" box I can log in normally.
This happens on 2 different laptops, each using both IE9 and Chrome so I think it is definitely an MSE problem.
I know Lakshmi7 has experienced similar problems. I have reported this HERE but I am posting this here in case anyone else is having trouble logging in - Try ticking the "Remember Me" box and see if that improves matters.0 -
Using FF I only get the unformated website, using IE6 (yes I know but I can't update it
!) it works fine. I would prefer to use FF

Don't know about winning a lot, though I hear folk do, I'm new to it myself.
It's fairly easy to use, here's a good link;

Good to get some followers too, there's a thread here about followers.
