I have a question about Facebook competitions, where you need ex. like & share.
After you'll win, they contact you by private message?
Or post only winners names on wall (and you need to contact them?)0 -

Depends on the company. In my experience, most of them will just post your name on their wall and ask you to contact them.
It's worth joining The Winners Circle on FB where very kind people will copy winning posts there and then tag people so you know that you've won. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/315412321841373/2019 Wins

Finding out if you have won on facebook seems a very hit or miss affair. I recently won on a facebook comp but had no email or message from them and only found out when someone ( very kindly) sent me a congrats message and I was able to trace it back. So, yes, become a member of the Winners Circle.
The 'facebook' thread on here under IWIWIW is also excellent for giving names of winners.
Also dont forget to regularly check your messages and 'other' messages link on your wall
Twitter seems more reliable as they usually send a DM or tweet which then, for me comes through to my email.
,
Its worthwhile googling your name along with 'winner' or 'winners' or 'congratulations' occasionally and dont forget to try using your facebook name too if its different.
I sometimes wonder how often prizes get missed. Really wish all companies would post a message to winners walls rather than relying on people returning to their post to check.0 -
Have ignored the emails from AllAbout Prizes that have appeared in my spam box. but this one made it through to my inbox
Any company that sends out an email with this many schoolchild errors in has to be rather shoddy IMHO

and the reason that they want your phone number is in the T&C's after clicking on the linkParticipate in the trivia competition on your mobile for an opportunity to win the advertised prize. The signup to competition ends at 30-09-2012. By entering the received PIN code (password), you will receive trivia question on your mobile phone. By answering the question you will receive next question and so on up to 6 questions. Each question cost £5.00 + standard network rates charged on your mobile account. Charges stop when you stop playing.

many thanks for the heads up GB:beer:0 -
hi guys, how do you normally get notified of a win for a Twitter comp?
Also another question: In your experience, for game based comps, like a flash game on FB etc, do you tend to find that it matters if you do well at the game or not if it doesn't mention it anywhere?0
