My laptop (Sony Vaio) doesn't seem to have a middle button! It has left and right click, and 'slidy' bit in the middle.

Can't use a plug in mouse as I balance lappy on armchair.

    Help!

Normally you can press both the left and right buttons together and it acts as a "middle click" but sometimes you have to change a setting somewhere.

    It should be default though.

When I press the left and right buttons together a symbol appears on screen and it sort of scrolls freely up and down.

I can right-click links, and open in new window. Does that hide referrer links?

I'm not sure. I know dragging and dropping into a new tab does, but not sure about right clicking and opening in a new window.

I hide the referrer automatically in FF, so don't really have any knowledge of IE. Sorry.

Thanks for the advice for Firefox, I've manged to do it, just got to get into the habit of clicking rather than dragging now :)

No problem. :) It is very handy. With the M.E, I need to conserve my energy in whatever little way I can so hiding the referrer automatically was less energy consuming than having to drag and drop all the time (I know it sounds trivial to alot of people but when you need all the energy you can get, it helps!).

Don't know if it's been mentioned before but Good To Know sent an email out today saying they are running a competition club - £3 a month and they will automatically enter you into their competitions.

A few places seem to be doing this - pushchair trader offer theirs as VIP membership £10 for the year and they enter you extra times per comp.

Personally I feel like it's getting to the point where it's just one step away from paying to be able to enter competitions.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

    I got that email too.

I just deleted it. I don't want to pay to enter competitions. Plus, I like filling in the forms.:o
