I received an email today from NowGamer.

You've been selected as a runner up for the recent Microsoft Flight competition that we recently ran on NowGamer. Attached is your DLC code for the Hawaiian Adventure pack which you can redeem on the official Microsoft Flight website.

Have no idea what it is or how I can reddem it. I went on to the
Microsoft Flight site but was none the wiser. If anyone wants the code please pm me and you can have it.

Hi. I'm not on facebook and I'm thinking of joining for the competitions, is it worth it and are there any tips anywhere or problems I should be aware of before I do it. Hope someone can help.

To be honest I'm seriously thinking of abandoning the Facebook comps. There are so many of them I find I'm spending more time on there trying to win a bar of chocolate, than I am entering more worthwhile comps on here, which is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, there are some good competitions on there, but there's a lot of smaller prizes to sort through as well.

I didn't mean that I spent time entering them, but when they come through as shares, you have no idea what the prize is until you've been to the page to check, which all takes time. If I see one on here for a small prize I wouldn't normally bother, unless I was really bored and well ahead with the comps.

I find facebook can be worth it, but you need to be picky.

I personally don't enter comps which are based in Ireland, America, Australia - and you do get a lot of them. A lot of them do say that they ship to the UK, but some people do just assume which can lead to a fair bit of disappointment when your prize doesn't arrive because your deemed out of their catchment area.

The more reputable comps on facebook will use an app for you to enter rather than the refer a friend, like and share etc. That doesn't mean however that you should avoid all the like and share comps but just be aware they aren't in Facebooks regulations.

I've personally had some great wins on facebook. Some wall decals, a pair of Ugg boots, a weekend at Champneys spa with travel and treatments and most recently a posh iron and a wooden Noah's Ark toy. Only the Noah's ark was from a like and share comp, the rest have been email or through apps.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Apologies to Jason at Loquax if I am overstepping the mark here but this was in their newsletter this morning. I found it interesting after the discussion about the magazine sites but Wimbledon have always been strict about what you are permitted to do with tickets. Feel sorry for the auction winner, though:o

Will ask for this to be removed if it is unacceptable
