Hopefully the mags will choose to go with the times and use ads/clickthroughs for revenue instead of trying to block people. They can't stop people sharing answers online, compers could do it by message list through email. They could only stop it by removing the online option.

I don't know about these other sites; I'm presuming if they have targeted us then they will probably go after these other sites too.

Well - I'm one of those people who has not bought a mag for years and reaps the benefit of the efforts of generous posters here... so I'm concerned:)

I don't see what legal action they could hope to bring. If, for example, 10 people in a workplace take turns at buying a magazine, working together on the puzzles and then all enter each week that's effectively the same situation. I guess that a smaller site might be put off by a legal-type threatening letter.

Online entry gives them an opportunity to put more ads in front of the entrant so that's their chance to make the money back. Sales of physical magazines are dropping anyway - the publishers need to rethink their rates and strategies for attracting advertisers

You need to read the T&C for that competition. Some explicitly say that you must still be a "Liker" on the closing date/ date of the draw. So you just Unlike them for not picking you as a winner

[STRIKE]Posted it up as it is bog standard easy (just the way I like it). I was a bit worried about the exclamation marks in the online link, but have checked the FB url and a comp. has been posted up in the past. If I get banned weeowens, you are coming with me :rotfl:[/STRIKE] Scrap this. When you like FB and click to enter it leads back to the online comp, which is blocked out by !!!!!!. Not one for the faint hearted (and I am very faint of heart). I did try.

As you will see from the edit, I just managed to claw at the edge of the hole before I came a tumbling down
