Passport Countersigniture Help

I have been trying to get my passport forms countersigned for over a month, a friend of my sisters said he'd do it but made mistakes on the form twice and it was rejected, now he;s away for a few weeks.
I've asked friends, family etc if they know anyone who can sign it but no luck, my doctor won't, neighnours can't, I've had no help from IPS I just can't get anyone that's on the list to sign it right now, I really don;t know what to do.
I have a trip to Japan booked, it was postponed from earlier in the year after my mum went into hospital and I was diagnosed with depression, I'm trying to think of anyone else that would be able to sign it, gah I should get my passport in time if it goes through with no problem, I'm going to ask everyone else I can think of tonight, but anything anyone think of to help would be great,

Thanks the thing is my college tutor switched proffessions after 20 years so can't sign it, the same same with my friend who was in banking for a while, I'll see about the practice nurse anyway since I don't have a dentist or children my optician retired recently and can't contact him.

your college tutor might still still be able to sign if he is a qualified teacher whatever his profession now(i am pretty sure even retired professionals can still counter sign), but i maybe wrong there. passport office should advise on that one.

Yeah I checked with the passport office and they said no because he doesn't work in that field anymore, apparently he could have signed if he had retired completely but taking up another profession means they won't accept it (~_~)

What a mess of a country when you have to have an interview and obtain a license just to leave the !!!!! hole, when the rest of the EU can just roll up and walk in.

That is what the service is for. Take forms and photos to (eligible) post office, they check you've filled the forms in properly, check the photo, sign the form and send it off.
