Another £28 being tracked through quidco. Hopefully should receive the payment before xmas. So I need to make £188 more to get the £300 extra I need. Car booting tomorrow. Money from that should get the ccs and egg totals below £23K next week.

I wish yo luck with your car boot; it was you who inspired me last year and I am phsyc-ing(?) myself to do one next saturday as we have been having a mega clear out.
I think you have been absolutely amazing with the amount of money you have paid off, and I don't doubt you will get your £300 by Christmas.0 -
Thank you so much Iona_Penny. I made £69.85 at the car boot, £10 ish short of my target. Its difficult to make much these days especially after the whole summer. I think I only sold one book. Never mind its money I didn't have and the house is just about cleared of clutter. I wont be able to do any more car boots as I never buy anything any more so there will be nothing to sell:T
I wish you luck with your car boot and thanks again for your post

Well this month has been a long hard slog. I've spent too much money and had to use my overdraft  Never mind it's payday this week so I can clear that straight away however that means less clearing of the cc's. I need to trim the budget this month somehow. I'm going to start with the food bill. My daughter is now away so thats one less mouth to feed (however she did pay board and that money will no longer be coming in) and the cupboards are full of stuff. I might be able to get away with just buying basics and meat for the next four weeks. Need to do a tight menu plan and stick to it.
I have £17 waiting to clear in paypal (from quidco) however nothing listed on Ebay. I've nothing left to sell!!
Off to tweek the budget:eek:

Having a really bad month. Spent far too much money. I treated my youngest daughter to £150 worth of new clothes:eek:  I felt really guilty cos shes had hardly any nice things for ages. I am also missing my eldest daughter. Work has been rubbish. I did six ten hour days last week and its continuing this week, however I cant leave as I need the money. The credit cards have been used and I have blood tests for stuff at the doctors tom.
I'm so sorry to put all my troubles on here but having written all that down I now realise why I am a little stressed out at the moment.
I have a week off next week and its also payday so there is something to look forward to.
so sorry to moan0 -
Just re read the above post:eek: I was fed up!!
Never mind. I'm feeling quite positive at the moment. CC's will be cleared by the end of December and I'm going to overpay the egg and nr loans from then on. Target for total debtfreeness is Dec 2008.
I'm sticking to a tightish Christmas/Grocery budget over the next few weeks. Me and OH have started matched betting. Over £100 in the pot already. Most of the profit will pay for presents.

Wages £1823 Wages £1804
123.00 Child Benefit Child Benefit £126.31
200.00 Maintenance Maintenance £200
Total = £2146
Current balances are:
Cashback sites £108.62
Vouchers £110.00 (for clothes)
Amazon £15.06
YouGov £44.45
Pigsback £21.15
Nectar 5719 points
Tesco Clubcard 4278 points
My aim is to stick to my budget all year and get as much cleared as possible. I aim to spend no money that it not budgeted for, use cashback sites to get extra money to clear Barclaycard. With my work bonus I cleared some of my NR loan(9.9%) and kept balances on my cc's instead as the interest rate is lower.
When I joined this site I was desparate and had outstanding debts of £45K, these are now less than £30K in 22 months. I would like them to be under £15K by the end of 2007. This is only going to happen if I stick to this budget rigidly.
Happy New year everyone and thank you for all the help this year

Well its only a few days until payday and I can reduce the cc a bit more.
I've made £185.34 in the money from anything challenge (ebay, amazon, cashback clicks) so far this month. I have 5688 in tesco points, this will pay for son's birthday present (driving lessons through clubcard deals). Nectar points are up to 5757, saving these for xmas food. Yougov over £46, not long until the £50 payout:D
I've hardly spent anything this month, however I do need a haircut. I look like a scarecrow:eek:
I've been reading the Tightwad gazette and have started a price book like she advises. Its opening my eyes to areas on the grocery budget where I am still overspending. Having said that I've failed the grocery challenge this month due to starting to bulk buy stuff when its on offer:rolleyes:
