Almond loaf
beat 2 eggs
add 150g almond powder/ground almond
add 6 desert spoons olive oil (you can use butter if you don't like the taste, but I think it works well in nutty things, and good for your heart)
add 6 desert spoons sugar
add 4 desert spoons flour
if flour is plain also add 1 desert spoon baking powder.
Fling everything in a bowl and mix together.. it is quite a dry mixture
Pour/spread into a greased 1lb loaf tin and cook for 45mins on Gas 6 (checkregularly, do not get engrossed on internet)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

it is a heavy mixture so doesn't rise much anyway but I use SR flour so don't use it anyway.. a dessertspoon is only 2 teaspoons so it isn't that much really.
Middle room vacuumed and I am fit to collapse!

Best wishes to anyone ive missed - i do read through but have a real scatterbrain.
I have managed to do Mon-Thurs. I am about to whizz around for another hr.
So far i have s&s kitchen, s&s bathroom, hoovered everywhere, except stairs, polished all the mirrors, folded and put away washing, made beds, except for dd as her room is her responsibility. She was nearly crying yesterday, saying she could not study because of the mess and would i tidy it, but im not doing it for her anymore, she does not appreciate it, but have offered to help, she wants me to do it all - shes 19 next month, so no, god knows whats gonna happen if she get to uni. Saying that, i have folded a load of her washing for her, so much for trying to get her to take responsibility.0 -
D/W is now plumbed in again properly:j
10 Egg sponge mixture has yielded : 24 cup cakes, 2 steamed sponge pudding, 1 fruit cake and 1 banana loaf

Piggers Almond Loaf in the oven as we speak:T
I have done 1 machine load of washing but the dog didn't want to put it in for me this morning. He's not an Assistance Dog but he's been trained by us to 'help' me. Comes to something when even the dog works to rule:rotfl:
I have rolled round the sittingroom with a sock on my paw so that looks respectable in time for the weekend:T
Not flung anything out today (beyond the usual trash)
Piggers the loaf is smelling divine, can't wait for it to come out, there are 3 of us here all like B!sto Kids sniffing the air:rotfl:0 -
