Well no NSD for me today. Had the morning off work to go to the doctors as I am still coughing after nearly 11 weeks. Sometimes I can't catch my breath, other times its just an irritant.

So doctor checked my chest and said it sounded clear and that I probably just had an inflamed bronchial passage but to be on the safe side, she sent me for a chest x-ray.

She told me that the local hospital would take the referral off me and then send me an appointment, whereas one 10 miles away had a drop in clinic, so I decided to drive there. I actually prefer that hospital anyway. With only about 30miles of petrol left I my car, I knew I'd have to top up.

Anyway, I drove to the hospital, phoned my office to speak to boss who was busy so left a message and walked in to the clinic. Only to be told we don't cover your surgery you have to go to the other one. I was so cross especially as I live in the area that it covers but my doctors is in the other hospital's catchment. I put £30 of petrol in my car, gosh its expensive, didn't even get half a tank, and drove back the way I'd come to the other hospital. I then had to pay £1 to park but luckily they did see and x-ray me today. Results will be back in 7-10 days.

Drove home, via chemist to pick up cough medicine and then to T3sc0 to get a few bits. Home at 12.30, rang boss, on lunch so emailed him and then had a quiet afternoon not really feeling like doing much.

A random number has been ringing me on my mobile all week and today I actually answered it. The opening line, "oh hello "Granny" first off I want to tell you that I'm not trying to sell you anything or to offer you a loan or anything" Hmm, that seemed an indication to me that that was exactly what he was about to do. He then proceeded to tell me that he had been passed my number by one of my predators who had told him I was in financial difficulty and he was ringing to help. Oh joy, just how exactly by giving me the money for nothing to pay them all off? Not likely I would imagine and so I told him I wasn't interested to which he said, in a very shocked voice, "You are in financial difficulty but you don't want help?" I put the phone down without responding, thinking no, thank you not off some profit making company who will only make things worse not better. If I want help I'll go to CCC5 who don't charge for their advice.

Tonight I had just settled down to watch a film when DS rang needing Granny's breakdown service as he'd run out of petrol and drained his battery. I was not impressed but went anyway. He had to take 2 games back to Bl0ckb*st3rs as they were late so he asked me if I wanted to rent some films as he'd get them for free, (well for the cost of the late fees anyway). I got Marigold hotel, which they stole for the night, Salmon fishing in Yemen, Battleships and Escapee for OH. Don't have to take them back until Monday evening so plenty of time to watch them. Weather is supposed to be appalling tomorrow and Monday but good Sunday. No Granny day this week as they are going away for a few days so gave them a little holiday spending money.

That's pretty much it for today, just off to bed, hoping to have a nsd tomorrow. Night all. Granny x

  • Hospitals are a pain in the butt! I live a 5 minute walk from the hospital in weston but as we are over the border our hospital is Bridgwater. Hope they manage to sort you out, you must be really fed up with it now.
Hope your weather is better than ours, I have been bribing DS that I would drop in Cheddar today and the weather is horrendous.

Weather not too bad today and its supposed to be nice tomorrow. OH and I are maybe going for pizza at P!zz^ 3xpr3ss with T3sco deal vouchers.

Not much to report today. I had a NSD, OH had a HSD as he booked flights abroad for us in November. :D Can't say I'm disappointed as I'm so fed up of the weather. The accommodation is free in a self catering apartment so will take breakfast and lunch stuff with us. Plenty of bars in the area so low cost bar meals in the evening and he's decided we need the break. So for once I'm not going to argue or worry about my debts as they are all in hand at the mo. I booked both the flights and airport parking for him and went via cashback site so fingers crossed I actually end up profiting from the deal too. :D

Oo now that sounds like a plan but unfortunately I don't think he'd agree. He may agree to you going instead of me but I wouldn't foist him on anyone, not even my worst enemy :rotfl:

Had a lovely wakeup surprise this morning, :kisses: from my 2 favourite girls before they went on holiday for a couple of days. It was so funny to lie in bed and pretend to be asleep just so they could climb on me to wake me up. We had a tickle session and a cuddle whilst DGD1 told me all about their holiday plans and DGD2 tried to. :D
