Had a good day in work today, scary boss actually gave me some good advice regarding 2 cases. He did seem to be questioning my actions in one of them and had this been last week I may have taken offence. However, being in a more positive mood this week, I took it as him just being a pr^t and as such ignored his silly comments, answered his questions and a major decision was made.

Other than that another NSD today.

    Today's funny:

One day, a grandpa and his grandson go golfing. The young one is really good and the old one is just giving him tips. They are on hole 8 and there is a tree in the way and the grandpa says, "When I was your age, I would hit the ball right over that tree." So, the grandson hits the ball and it bumps against the tree and lands not to far from where it started. "Of course," added the grandpa, "when I was your age, the tree was only 3 feet tall."

    The importance of being discreet!

After logging into the diaries today, I was amazed to see a post on a friend's diary from one of the companies she had written about. The reason, she'd named them in full.

Now much as them contacting her may prove useful to her, she may get a refund of her insurance policy, I would not be too happy if one of my associated companies contacted me.

It just shows me the importance of missing out letters when talking about someone as they may just be listening/reading.

I've tried all along to put special characters in when typing eg: MBN^, H^lif^x etc but I'll be extra vigilant in future, well unless I want them reading/commenting in my diary.

I have to say, I don't really think there will ever come a time, (well 2023 maybe), that I want to converse with them on here, I get enough of my Predators via the post and sometimes phone thank you very much. Anyway, that's it for now, be back later probably. NSD today - yey me

    Hello NTO, how are you?

Anyway it was Lucielle's complaint re the roadside assistance company that begins with and ends with the first letter of the alphabet.

:rotfl:- how discreet is that, do you think they'll pop up here now and comment? :rotfl:

I'm intrigued about the credit report comment, who's diary was that?

    Today's funny:

A very modest lady applied for a job at the factory where they made "T!ckle me Elm0 dolls". It was Friday and almost quitting time and hurriedly the boss told her to report for work on Monday. He quickly explained to her that she would be stationed on the assembly line just before the dolls were packed into boxes. On Monday they started up the line and within twenty minutes had to shut it down because one worker couldn't keep up. The boss went down the line to find the problem. The new employee was very busy trying to do her part but she had a bunch of dolls waiting for her. Closer examination showed that she was sewing little cloth bags containing two walnuts in the appropriate place on the dolls. The boss could not control his laughter and said,

"Lady, I said to give each doll

    Two----Test----Tickles."

I've seen quite a few companies respond, namely the energy ones, on various threads. They've been given permission by the site to post. I believe they do it to try to help and get a little positive marketing in. I don't think you need to worry.
