Much better thanks Granny. Just had two painkillers and going to get myself an early night tonight.

How are you now? Has your pain eased up a little?

You must be so proud of your DS, he sounds like a wonderful partner and dad

My OH caught himself instructing me in how to boil a kettle and how to make gravy once, not at the same time though. He thought it was very funny, I was quite cross. I'm constantly having to tell him I certainly didn't starve before I met him, although I was half the size I am now, and managed perfectly well to cater for myself and my DC without poisoning any of us. He is barking mad in the kitchen, insists on every dish/cup/bowl/fork being washed up immediately. I refuse to give in and if he wants them washed within a certain time frame he can blooming well wash them himself :rotfl:

Will that keep you going for tonight? :rotfl:

He is a fantastic dad and partner and works really hard to support his family and is only aged 24 at that. A lot of responsibility for him and I do worry about him at times. I sent him a text message today just reminding him I was here if he needed to talk about anything. He's a man though and doesn't do talking :rotfl:

Off for tea now - rice, mackerel and salad - yummy. Maybe there'll be some chocolate in it somewhere too :rotfl:

Liking the look of all that wine, not so sure about the combination of mackerel and chocolate though. I'll pass on the mackerel and have the chocolate please :D

Glad you feel better and hope your plans for an early night worked.

My mouth is very much better now, just the odd sensitive twinge now and again x

I am so proud of him, he's a terrific person and considering the male role models he had in his life, he brings tears to my eyes because he's so amazing.

:rotfl: I actually did end up with both but not on the same plate you'll be pleased to hear. I had mackerel with rice and chopped veg, (mangetout, petite pois, chilli, garlic, mushrooms, asparagus) and seeds - yummy

and then wanting something sweet I found some granola that had orange infused sultanas, almonds and dark chocolate drops which I mixed into set yoghurt. Double yummy

All topped off with a strong filter coffee.

Had a NSD today and hoping for another tomorrow. Car in the garage, with OH footing the bill, so fingers crossed it is all fixed tomorrow and not too costly.

Night all, off to lurk for a bit, so I may pop up and surprise you and then off to bed

Car is being looked at as we speak so fingers crossed it doesn't cost him too much.

I have spent so much on it over the last 18mths, its not funny and not worth the amount I've spent. Friends ask me why I don't just scrap it and buy something else, little do they know however, I cannot afford to replace it so keep hoping that the next thing done on it will sort it out for good.

Its only 7 years old and only done 40k miles, (actually says 1k as I had to have the dashboard clock changed earlier this year), so should be reliable but there are so many electronics in it things keep going wrong.

OH is footing the bill this time because I had a mini strop earlier in the year when I was paying for it to be sorted and then we were using it to go long distances. I told him it wasn't fair as we use my car as the family car and then I foot the bills for maintenance and expenses plus petrol. So after my rant he agreed to pay for it to be sorted before we use it to go to Northumbria in the summer.

The weather is awful isn't it and I think I'm going down with another cold, I was coughing all day yesterday and have a bit of a bad head and sore throat today. Taken vit c, garlic and echinacea in an attempt to ward it off.

Hope things are well with you.

Super quick post tonight as I worked so long today didn't have time to wash my hair for work tomorrow, so will have to do it in the morning.

With another, yes another cold, I didn't dare risk washing it before I went to bed as I am chilled, (as in cold not relaxed) enough as it is.

I'm so cheesed off to have yet another cold, this time in my chest and think maybe it never really left and was just hiding underneath the dental pain last week. So I may need to resort to those dreaded antibiotics after all.

I managed another NSD today, whereas OH is £440 lighter - ouch, was kinda hoping it wasn't going to cost that much but fingers crossed that's it for a while now. His response to the bill, well there goes our autumn holiday now!!!!! I've been trying to tell him for ages that we need to cut back a bit but he just doesn't seem to get it. I know he's working hard to bring in extra for treats but he needs to understand that there isn't anything left over for emergencies at the moment so autumn holidays are the least of my worries.

Anyway, off to bed now. Night all, talk soon

Oh darling granny you poor thing. Get yourself down to the doctors to get some antibiotics asap. If the germs have lurked and reappeared they can be absolute sods to shift otherwise.
