Sounds like you are starting to enjoy the cooking again which is good to hear. Maybe you and OH should have a rota going, you cook one night and him the next. Actually I think I would put that plan into action in my house if Mr Pinot was around for dinner more often ! x
My DS is suffering most with her teething as he looks after her all day whilst DDIL2B is in work and then goes to work himself evenings, finishing quite late. Then has to get up early the next morning to take DDIL2B and DGD1 to school and do it all over again. He's shattered poor thing.
I'm loving my cooking but OH is being silly and refuses to eat my food so makes his own. It's hard for anyone else to imagine but he really is controlling in the kitchen and insists on putting oil in everything and uses too many contrasting flavours. I used to crave plain and simple food and loved nothing more than beans on toast when he was working a double shift. Now however, I'm happily cooking for me, having realised how cheap I can do it for, which was part of my problem in the past, and feeling much more healthy too. The 1lbs aren't coming off yet but the inches are. 2 dresses in my wardrobe that had shrunk have miraculously regrown.

Hello Missrlr, :hello:,
oo lems1p my favourite bedtime drink :rotfl: So nice of you to join me and take the time to listen to my rambles. I love having a diary that talks back, its so much more fun than having one I have to hide under the floorboards in case OH finds it. I'm getting too old to be pulling them up when he's not around. :rotfl:
Hope you feel better soon.

I miss wine at the moment and cheese and chocolate and anything yummy really. Think I'll have to make some low calorie cakes tomorrow or I'm going to give into temptation soon.
Sounds like you've had a yuck day, hope you're ok

Tonight's message from Granny
:rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Love it Granny, you are a superstar !!!
Piq and I will crash your party . I was thinking though, when we all win the lottery which we obviously will all do , or become debt free and rich there will be so many parties to go too wont there ? It will be amazing !!
I'm so sorry to hear your OH is controlloing in the kitchen. Mr Pinot has a bit of a weird washing up thing and or dishwashing loading thing going on which drives me insane. I try not to cook when he is in the kitchen with me, but more because he likes cooking and is interested he tends to ask me questions about what I am doing and why I am doing certain things. He doesnt mean it in a bad way but I get a bit stressy and sometimes take it the wrong way as if he is telling me I'm not doing it correctly. Think it stems back to the early days of our relationship. He used to live with a chef once a upon a life, and the first ever time I cooked for him, he watched me chop an onion and told me I was chopping incorrectly !! Ive never let him forget it, but it gave me a bit of an inferiority complex in the kitchen !!! Silly really, it was donkeys years ago now but I still harp on about it !!!
Oh and welcome Missrir, I have seen you popping up in various places. You will have fun here on Grannys diary, although I think shes rationed the wine of late !
Oh, sorry to hear about your DS, he must be shattered adn I'm sure you are worrying about him. He sounds like a hard worker though, something to be proud of and not often found these days !! :TLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

My OH caught himself instructing me in how to boil a kettle and how to make gravy once, not at the same time though. He thought it was very funny, I was quite cross. I'm constantly having to tell him I certainly didn't starve before I met him, although I was half the size I am now, and managed perfectly well to cater for myself and my DC without poisoning any of us. He is barking mad in the kitchen, insists on every dish/cup/bowl/fork being washed up immediately. I refuse to give in and if he wants them washed within a certain time frame he can blooming well wash them himself :rotfl:PinotGrigio41 wrote: »Oh and welcome Missrir, I have seen you popping up in various places. Will that keep you going for tonight? :rotfl:PinotGrigio41 wrote: »Oh, sorry to hear about your DS, he must be shattered adn I'm sure you are worrying about him. He sounds like a hard worker though, something to be proud of and not often found these days !! :T
He is a fantastic dad and partner and works really hard to support his family and is only aged 24 at that. A lot of responsibility for him and I do worry about him at times. I sent him a text message today just reminding him I was here if he needed to talk about anything. He's a man though and doesn't do talking :rotfl:
Off for tea now - rice, mackerel and salad - yummy. Maybe there'll be some chocolate in it somewhere too :rotfl:
