    Thanks Beanie and Piq

I have had a lovely break and am feeling much better for it. Sunday we took DGDs away for a night to celebrate DGD1s birthday. It was very enjoyable.

Today we are dropping DGD1s presents and cards over, going for coffee and then spending the evening at home to see in the New Year.

I will be glad to see the back of 2013 as it has been a difficult one and am determined that 2014 will be the year I change my life.

I start it off 23.5kgs heavier than I want to be, so that is target 1

I'm no where near as fit as I want to be, so that is target 2

My health is extremely poor at the moment, so that is target 3

and I need to get this debt in order, so that is target 4

Finally my marriage is in a bad way and needs to be worked on, so that is target 5

all this stuff once sorted should help to make me happier, which is my goal for this year.

So I pledge to myself that I will eat less, exercise more, take better care of myself and make time for my relationship with OH as well as finding a way to generate more money to reduce my debt mountain

I have a lot of changes to go this next year, operations and job move, so am sure it will be a challenging time but I am going to start as I mean to go on.

I wish you all a very Happy healthy wealthy New Year

    Granny x

Thank you for the messages my dear Lucky, it was very kind of you to think of me. I read posts on here throughout the festive period but decided not to post. I wanted to take a complete break from financial etc stresses.

The above post is from NYE 2013 and I'm pleased to note that I managed to fulfil many of my pledges to myself.

2014 brought some challenges but all in all I feel it was a good year. I know instead of my usual thank goodness that year's gone feeling I spent last night hoping this year turns out to be as good.

Although I haven't weighed yet, so don't know how much damage the festivities have caused I know I weigh considerably less than I did at the beginning of last year and am close to removing the 23.5kgs excess I hoped for last NYE. I'm determined never to see my current weight on the scales again. I weigh less than OH for the first time in 8+ years and last night wore a size 16 dress instead of a 22/24.

As a result my fitness and health are improved, which is something I guessed would happen if I removed some weight.

My health has been further improved by op No1 being done and leaving work has cut my stress levels and helped vastly.

I've reduced my number of predators, amount of debt owed and monthly outgoings. Although my DFD is as yet unknown to me, my rate of repayment is so low and relatively stress free so I'm plodding along happy as a sand boy. There is a chance that OHs investment will bring a return that will clear our debts and it could happen in the next 12 months.

OH has been so supportive this year things are definitely going in the right direction relationship wise.

So all in all its been a pretty successful year. My work is not yet finished so my pledges from last year continue into this year but unlike last year I know they are achievable rather than hoping they are.

Weight wise I want to lose another 25kgs+

Debt wise I'd like to reduce debt and number of predators again this year.

Health wise - 2nd operation should be done in May/June and hopefully assist me in becoming fitter and healthier than I have in the last 10 years.

I've changed my life for the better and am determined to improve it even more this year.

I wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy, prosperous 2015.

No the stress comes from thinking about money and not from talking to my darling MSE family. 7 wks today I will be enjoying my first full day in Oz, having got over the flight x
