Didn't have my hair done today as had a really down day for no particular reason. This has been happening all too often lately, which is why I've booked a doctors appointment. Need to get him to arrange some blood tests as just feel like there is something not right, in addition to problem that I'm already seeing consultant for. Haven't had a thyroid function test done for a while and with symptoms pointing in direction of low thyroid and family history of same, think it needs looking into.

Have no energy or enthusiasm to do anything on days like today and have just moped around all day. Appointment booked for 19th as not an emergency and want to see best doctor in the practice. Hoping tomorrow will be a good day as hate feeling like this

No other news really, hope all is well with any readers

Dearest granny I'm so sorry you're feeling low. It could well be your thyroid. If you remember you were advising me to get my levels checked a while ago and you were right my dose was too low. However, the knowledge doesn't change how you feel. If the sun comes out see if you can spend a little time outside, that lifts the spirits a bit, and inhale the scent of some lilac, it's only around for a very short while.

    All my love to you

Thanks Piq, took your advice and not only pushed myself to go out in sun, also pushed self and met friends for lunch. So glad I did, had a lovely time and only spent £10, so isn't going to break the bank. Decided not to drink as wouldn't help with mood, so drank soda n black, which was really cheap too. Saw some friends that haven't seen for ages and was clear they were pleased to see me, which helps lift the spirits. Couldn't find any lilac to sniff though :)

Certain it's my thyroid, just need to get doc to agree and deal with it appropriately. Feeling more positive now after spending time with friends rather than wallowing. OH has been in one of his moods since Tues which clearly hasn't helped matters and haven't been able to escape due to DGS being due anytime

Had my petrol points card from mse deal last week, also converted expired t3sc0 club card points for A5k vouchers, due to mse advice. At £20 worth of expired points not something to sniff at

No snowball done yet, maybe tomorrow. Knitting my jumper now, which is bright orange and very lacy

HE is off on Tues so won't be there to nag me when I go back to work. also told 'friend' that her comments upset me and why, she clearly was offended at first but then apologised for upsetting me, said it wasn't personal. Glad I got it off my chest anyway

Ok off to do some more knitting, may be back later

  • Sorry you've been feeling down Granny but pleased you've booked a docs appointment and had a nice time with friends. Hopefully DGS's arrival will perk you up too even if it does mean having to hang around Grumpy Grandpa!

A positive in that you approached your friend instead of letting it fester. Hace you tried taking vitamin D. We normally get it through sunlight but sadly lacking in this country. You do have to take it for a while before it starts to work.

  • sorry to hear that you're not feeling great, down days are rubbish but glad you're seeing dr to sort it out. Too many times have I ignored the warning signs and then gotten even worse and had to end up on anti-d's! I hope tomorrow is a better day for you :)

Thanks for all the messages and hugs, feeling better today, still easily agitated though which just isn't me normally. Have decided need to see docs before 19th so going today as emergency. Neck feels like I've got something tight wrapped around it and fairly certain slight lump around collar bone. Better safe than sorry. DGS threatened to arrive on Sat but then changed his mind so I've not slept very well this weekend as I'm on emergency call out.

Yesterday DS etc and I went for icecream. Oh it was so nice, DGD2 loved it as did her clothes, seat, table, floor, you get the picture I'm sure :)

Seeing my 2 beautiful girls again today for some Granny time. OH is working so won't be around to help/interfere

That said I apologised for being so Grumpy all week, telling him I couldn't understand why I was in so much of a funk and it was me not him. Explained about thyroid etc and he's been quite nice about it

Over spent yesterday, must be careful for rest of month, especially with DGS due. Easy to overspend when you feeling down

May talk again later, have a good Monday all
