Lovely Granny and OH day today after a rather boring weekend with no money or company. OH has worked 4 double shifts in 5 days and was out at funeral and wake all day Friday.
DGD2 has started the why game, which cracks me up just trying to think of sensible answers over and over.
DGD1 made us laugh tonight when she got the wrong animal in her joke, what do you call a [STRIKE]deer[/STRIKE] goat with no eyes a no i[STRIKE]dea[/STRIKE]goat. It was so cute
My cold has moved to my sinuses and is now causing severe cheekbone ache which feels like toothache, wondering if I should just visit the vet and ask him to put me out of my miseryone thing after another this year
Mr T has kindly accepted my reduced payment offer for 6 months, no reply from mbn^ so for now just carrying on with standing order until they tell me otherwise
OH bought me some really pretty orange wool to make me a lacy jumper, offered to pay him back but said no
Off to work tomorrow, 4 days and then 10.5 days off, can't wait, not that I want to wish my life away or anything
Going to do a snowball next week, see how things look
DGD2 is 2 next week, gosh how time has flown and DGS1 is due in next month
Off to bed for earlyish night, OH is nights
Hope you are all well

Oh I love the 'why' game (not) lol it can drive me nuts sometimes. Especially when I think i've given a suitable answer but they don't think I have so they ask the same thing again? Yes BUT WHY??? arghhhhhhhhh

Hi Granny, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It is wierd the amounts of colds around at the moment. I hope you are feeling better soon. No vets just yet
I often offer to go to the vets too.
DGD2 sounds fun with all her questions. I don't suppose it will be long until my DGD starts. She is just under a year.
Thanks for sharing the CC stuff. I have written to all of our CC companoies. Now just wait and see what they say...business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thanks my dear friends.
DGD2 is not having a party, to be honest I think that with DGS being due soon, its too much for DDIL.
She'll have a lovely day with DS, DDIL and DGD1 and will be spoilt rotten by her DGPs so won't miss out.
I love the WHY game, it just cracks me up and is a sign of their little brains working things out. I know it seems like they are questioning things for the sake of it but imo shows thought processes at work. I try really hard to give reasoned answers to the Whys but do occasionally run out of ideas.
I think I was a tad premature in stating that my insurance company have waived the £25 fee as its been taken from my account. I'll wait another week and see if it is refunded and if not will kick up an enormous fuss as I'm not happy.
I've just signed up to the mighty deals £20 of petrol for £10 deal on this week's MSE offers email. Sounds too good to be true, but have recommended it to OH as well. Just have to ensure that I get my card before 11 June as per MSE guidance. If anyone fancies trying it out, give me a shout and I'll send you the link, or you can look on the MSE main page for the details.
I'm also going to get my eyes tested next week and try out one of the glasses offers on their link too.
INCLUDES:
2 pairs prescription specs £23
£20 designer sunnies
£9 replacement lenses
Free £15 eye test
Free eye test at Tesco
Yesterday I signed up for a £10 st^rbucks card for £5.
My teeth/sinuses are really hurting today. Other than that I feel ok, well apart from a headache which may be stress or cold related.
I had a really bad day in work today, discovered a colleague who I considered a friend had stabbed me in the back with a comment she made to HIM. HE hasn't taken any notice of her comment but I'm livid and hurt at the same time. Don't want to go into it in too much depth but it makes you realise that sometimes you can be too nice for your own good.
Then to top things off HE gave me some incorrect legal advice that I forwarded on to a client, only to be told by the client that I was in the wrong. It really shouldn't matter, I just look a tad incompetent but considering the advice came from HIM, I'm a bit annoyed by it all and embarrassed at the same time. I've passed the response to HIM for advice and comment but will probably go back with an apology and confirm that I had sought advice from a higher source and had been ill-advised. Such a pity because things have been gradually improving work wise the last month or so and HE hasn't managed to wind me up as much for ages.
I got home from work at 7.30pm and am still seething about the day and wondering what I can do to calm down. Pity I couldn't have a Granny cuddle and goat joke to ease my stress levels. I know I'm being silly as neither thing is a big issue but gosh I'm agitated.
Tried not to stress OH out as he is working tonight and is tired after his lengthy days over the last week. He did get to hear a bit and his only comment was that I should refuse to help said "friend" next time she asks for my advice, which is a fairly regular occurrence. Easier said than done to be honest and I'm really not the type to refuse to help when someone is struggling. So in light of that, I've come on here to vent my frustration. Hope you don't mind.
Just to make myself giggle and hopefully it works on you too:
A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The driver says: "Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen."
The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: "The driver just insulted me."
The man says: "You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you.
voted as funniest joke of the year by the daily record in Oct 2010 and I have to say the other 49 made me giggle too.
