    Do hope Consultant was:
    A) on time,
    B) in a good mood,
    C) pleased with your progress.. ;)

And that the ordeal is now over and you've already sung Happy Birthday to DGD2 at the beginning of a fun day helping her to celebrate!

Thanks for the well and birthday wishes. Day went well but I'm drained

Consultant was really nice and wants me in for tests within 6 weeks and a decision re remedy within 12. No comments about my weight, just concerns for what I'm dealing with, so real progress

DGD2 had a lovely day but hasn't had her presents yet as ran out of time before DS had to go to work so they are coming over tomorrow

DFW will post a picture tomorrow. It really was simple. I knitted a square 75 sts on 5mm needles, 75 rows and then did a lacy border. You could do it without but honestly it was very easy

After knitting you square, cast off as follows

    A) Cast off 2 sts, put last knitted stitch back onto left needle, cast on 2 sts

    B) Cast off 5 sts, put last knitted stitch back onto left needle, cast on 2 sts

Repeat b) above until end of row

I did this all round the blanket by picking up 38 sts around sides and bottom of blanket, knitted 2 rows and then repeated above cast off instructions but you don't need to if you find it hard

Give it a go, it is lovely making them something from scratch and they are nowhere near as critical as we are

Hey sorry I have been AWOL for a while, belated happy birthday wishes. So pleased the consultants appt went well.
Perhaps I should take up knitting, although I think Doglet may try to knit himself into the equation too. Currently awaiting to start a meeting with boss, he is not here (16 mins and counting) so doing something more productive instead.

    Thanks brizzle, Missrlr and Newleaf

Had a lovely time earlier today with DGDs, even though DGD2 now has a stinking cold. Came back to mine so she could have her presents. All was fine until OH came home, he worked OT this morning. He arrived home in one of his 'why are you here disturbing me' moods

In the end took DS etc home and then spent then last 3 hours holed up in my room reading, oh what joy. Thank goodness he is working again tonight so can remove myself from my bedroom at some point

Think I may go and have my hair done tomorrow and the possibly meeting some friends for lunch on Friday. Taking a bit of a risk as DGS is due soon and may be needed around to help but can't put life on total hold for up to a month. Sure he'll arrive at most inoportune moment but hey ho :)

Had trouble sleeping last night after stress of yesterday, tests sound scary and not very pleasant but so happy finally on road to better health. Was worried as haven't lost 2 stone last consultant asked for but yesterday's didn't even mention my weight. Will still keep with healthy eating though as feel better for it

No debt news to report, still not done the snowball, perhaps tomorrow

Off to make myself a drink
