Offer of hug is gratefully accepted, thanks lil miss lucky, glad you and others appreciated the jokes
I had a bad night's sleep as I expected, so silly to let work issues encroach on my life like that. Woke up missing DD like mad and wishing she was around for coffee and chat
Nearly told 'friend' by email today how upset I was but have decided to have a word in person on Friday instead. Despite her comments, I still offered her words of support today when she moaned to me about work related stuff
Had impromptu visit with my 2 favourite girls tonight as their car broke down. DGD2 bawled her eyes out when she thought I'd left, was heart wrenching and warming at the same time. Then when I offered to take them home, she said no, miner go to Ganny's house to see Gampa, made his day too
When I squashed them all in my car an hour later to go home she cried no, where's my Gampa gone. I said work, she said why, in a sad voice, I said to get money, she said why, I said to buy you sweets, she said ok
DDIL said she'll remember that for the next why game
HE failed to apologise for c0ck up yesterday but I sent an emailed apology, laying the blame of ill-advice firmly at HIS door. Luckily hasn't caused any lasting affects, just a bit embarrassing at the time. It will teach me to check and double check in future though as HE really is incompetent. Joys of civil service for you!
Other than that I had a pretty good day today, cheek ache has eased off, hoping I continue to feel better but have decided a visit to the docs is in order as have really not felt myself for about 6 months now, something clearly going on
Poor DDIL is looking so uncomfortable now, I really do feel for her. Luckily had kiddie snax in my bag earlier so when her heartburn kicked in I could offer some relief.
Only 2, maybe 1.5 days left and then off for 10.5 days
Night all

Hello Granny, :hello:
Oh dear you've got the lurgi too - hope you're feeling better this morning.
I used to love the Why? game.. The trick was always to get the answer round to something that benefited the child in as few 'moves' as possible (which turned it into a game for Big People too). Was a bit sad when DGS outgrew it, tbh.
Boo to the incompetent Him.. Shame you're unlikely to be able to get rid - CS doesn't work like that, does it?
..Never mind - time off soon! :T0 -
I'm on holiday for 11 days, no work, NO HIM and no back stabbing "friends"
In celebration:

Evening Granny
We've been playing the why game :rotfl: (as we do everyday) and also the 101 question game (ya know when you're super busy and they ask you a hundred things all at once and want an answer there and then!)
A few of the little gems ds2 has thrown at me:
(whilst throwing up) ds2 asks: Mummy does Spiderman ever get sick? Do you know Spiderman? Can we go and visit spiderman? (do you get the theme from my obsessed spiderman fan ) I was just surprised he had the energy to think these things never mind have the actual talent of throwing up and simultaneously asking questions on SM!
Today when in the car on the way to supermarket it starts hailing: ds2 asks me where the hail comes from ...DD pipes up with an answer: Hail comes from God when he's angry that you aren't listening to him, and when it's hailing he wants you build an ark to go sailing ....so ds2 asks if God has legs (random) and she says no he has legs stuck together like a mermaid (even more random) and swims in the sky :rotfl: He seemed happy with the answers and left me alone....he clearly believes her stories more than me as once i've answered him he will usually say 'yes, but why?' :rotfl: DD has been delegated to answering all of DS2's questions from now on:rotfl:

Funny how men don't think that joke is funny :rotfl:
Had a quiet weekend, which was just what I wanted
Had my lovely girls today and had my final 1 year old cuddle from DGD2 as she is 2 tomorrow. Where has the time gone? She fell to sleep on my lap for an hour and it was pure bliss cuddling her and her dolly.
She has spent the day telling us she is 3 tomorrow and tbh she is so bright it would be hard to argue if we didn't know better. She is very little though so looks younger than she is.
Yesterday I decided to make her a dolls bed out of a lined basket and home made knitted bedding. I know she will love it as she loves her babies.
We've also bought her a remote control car and DD has got her a hobby horse
I'm off to see my consultant first thing, hoping he's nicer than he was 6 months ago and also hoping appointment is done quickly so can spend some time with dgds
DGS due in 2 weeks!!!
Off to bed now, night all
