Glad to see you're looking after yourself for once Granny..that's good!!:D

However treatments of any kind that involve chat make me mad...so I now politely say I'd prefer not to talk and that usually sorts things out! I mean I say that..but haven't been for a treatment in about 18 months but I did before iykwim!

Sorry re OH too..sounds like he's being a bit of an *rse. Oh well...mine can be a pain too..;) but even so..don't lose a sense of perspective on what you need to do if the relationship is proving more of a drain than a benefit to you and your wellbeing

Thanks B, normally, (not that I have treatments that often), I tell the masseuse that I don't wish to talk. Today for some reason this did not happen and I just found it draining instead of relaxing and was surprised when the hour was up.

Yep OH is definitely being a bit of an ars3 at the moment and I intend to pull him into line next week. This is one of the reasons for my pampering sessions before we go so I feel at my best and able to tackle him.

I am looking forward to some time together to discuss things but am fairly sure he would not be feeling quite so excited about the opportunity if he knew what I have planned. I've printed out some extracts from my diary.

Off to bed now, a bit later than planned.

Thought I'd leave you with this:

Sorry to hear OH is being Mr Grumpy pants at the moment but I'm sure you'll sort him out when you're away. Drinking and falling asleep so early on a weekend is really not acceptable. I hope you manage to talk some sense into him.

Sort him out granny! Tell him you love him and then give him both barrels....

You can dye your own eyelash very easily. Buy the diy set from B00ts, cost about £9 but you can get at least four sessions out of a pack. I can stretch it to six! Use an old mascara brush, not the silly stick they supply and it's a very simple process.

Thanks for the lovely support my dear friends, it's so nice to know that there is someone out there willing me on to get my life sorted out. It's so much easier to be honest on here than it is in RL.

I had my hair done and its lovely, well worth the £12 spent, with a value of about £50. The hairdressers is not somewhere I will go back to though as yet again it was a rather uncomfortable experience. The hairdresser spent the first 1.5 hours talking about herself and her rather bizarre Italian boyfriend and her plans for cosmetic surgery. Then the owner came in with her unwell 3 year old and they chatted about all sorts of things that to be honest would have been better done in private, while the little girl just ran around the saloon causing havoc. Still I'm very happy with my hair so a job well done in the end.

I found some eyelash dye in a drawer, so thanks for the prompt Piq. I am going to have something to eat now and then do my lashes, using Piq's tip about using a mascara brush instead of the stick. My brows aren't too bad after all, a little plucking to tidy them up is all they need.

OH is working this afternoon and I have to say the peace is bliss. Must do some sorting out for our hols on Thurs and some ironing too. Perhaps I'll be back later.

  • What a run of bad luck to get 2 pamper sessions spoilt in a row, when you very rarely get them anyway. Glad the end result is good though.

Enjoy the peace and quiet Xx

i think some people are just bloody nosy and want t know all about your life.... The hairdressers I go to the girls are lovely but so loud and I am quite a quiet person. The things they discuss and I am not a prude lol...:)
Glad you hair looks nice... As for your oh... as Piq says tell him you love him then both barrels... Hope your time away goes well granny x
