Ooooh Granny after all that pampering you will be a completely gorgeous glammy granny. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better, but you still seem to tire easily so steady away there, don't try and do too much. A holiday seems just the ticket and I hope you have a lovely time.

DGD2 sounds so adorable (as I am sure is DGD1). My DGD has not started talking properly yet but blimey, do I know when I have had her for a few hours. I want to ask your advice, actually, you being a very experienced Granny. She is 20 months old and enjoys playing with her tea set and can do basic jigsaws but of course at this age her attention span is very short, and we soon run out of things to do. Can you suggest things that we can do together (indoors until the warm weather comes)?

I hope that OH is behaving himself, if not, you know where the rolling pin is don't you?:rotfl:

Dear Dot, what about painting, drawing and sticking pictures. That used to amuse Dgd1 for hours at that age. We also tried papier mâch! which she loved x

  • Dot what about making cakes or even just decorating digestive biscuits? Chocolate crispies would also be easy to do and at this time of year you can fill them with mini eggs and call them Easter nests! I agree with Granny's idea of painting and sticking etc too. Think of different things to paint too like hands, leaves or stones (washed first!) to make print pictures Xx

Hope you had a good day Granny Xx

Thank you all for wishing me a nice relaxing weekend. I had a lovely lazy Saturday morning with OH in work. Only spoilt really by him coming home :rotfl:

Afternoon was spent knitting his jumper whilst he watched the rugby. He got absolutely smashed, dropped a glass of lager all over the floor, (luckily we have laminate) and nearly dropped his dinner and wine over the sofa, then promptly fell asleep at 8 and snored like a thunder storm. I told him to go to bed but he wouldn't because it was too early

Sunday morning we picked DGDs up and went for coffee. DGD1 was hyper which OH cannot cope with, DGD2 was her normal happy, funny little self. I was shattered by the time I took them home as I had to handle them both as DGD2 won't really go to OH and OH couldn't cope with DGD1.

OH watched rugby and the Capital One final football, whilst again drinking and we had pizza for tea. He fell to sleep in a drunken stupor at 7 and snored again until I went to bed at 10.30.

He's working today whilst I go for my facial. He's lent me money to buy some things for hols so don't think I'm going to make any more nsds this month unless I count it on Thurs when I pay him back :D

Hope you all had a good weekend, missrlr hope you are feeling better, Dot hope the suggestions were useful. DGD2 plays for hours with dolls, tea sets, duplo, colouring etc but DGD1 still bores easily and takes lots of attention, she likes doing things more than playing. Such very different children.

Thanks NL they look fun but probably more suited to DGD1 than DGD2 and Dot's DGD who are of similar ages. I don't use pininterest but may be persuaded to if there are things like that on there. I would have to print them out though as DGD1 would spend a large amount of time on the computer if she could but as she watches too much tv in her house, I try not to have any electronic equipment involved in our time.

I went for my facial but did not find it particularly relaxing. I had to fill out a questionnaire before going in to see the therapist and was honest on it. It included questions like how is your relationship, how stressed are you, how are you sleeping. I think the therapist is a wanna be counsellor and she had me chatting about things at home. This is not what I want from a masseuse tbh and had me feeling quite drained by the time I left. I will not go back.

Haircut tomorrow and colour and I cannot wait. I haven't had it done properly since last summer and haven't cut it since just before the wedding in October, so its definitely in need. It helps that it is already paid for too.

Not sure about the lashes and brows now, gone off the idea because of price, even though its on offer, I still have to pay. I'll probably still go for the spray tan though as that's already paid for.

I'm off for a quick run around the diaries now and then off to bed. Night all
