Well for some reason I am feeling a little glum today, perhaps because I am supposed to be working, (forgot to bring enough home with me to do) and can't slope off as OH is still off until Monday.

He's currently in his favourite place, slumped on the sofa, eating, watching TV and surfing on the laptop. I'm determined to have a longer Xmas break next year.

To cheer myself up, I went back over my snowball yesterday, including OH's debts and it changed to 2020 instead of 2021. I'm not going to update my signature as yet, as I have to stick by what I've promised to do this year first, but if that is achieved, I'll be raring to go. I've added another target though, which is pay off one debt at least in 2013. My lowest debt is my store card, which is costing me interest so I'm going to aim to clear that. In addition to that, I'm going to try to clear my catalogue this year so I don't pay interest on the buy now pay later items.

Hoping for a NSD today, going to stay off the net later, as that's what spoilt it for me last night, although it was a planned spend in a way as I could only get one ball of the wool in the shop and having used it to start a jumper for DGD2, I decided to look for more and having found it at almost half price, (including p&p), decided to get all 5 balls on offer. I'll probably get 3/4 knits out of it, so works out at approx £4 per jumper/cardi and they are gorgeous.

My declutter for today, is reading old magazines, which are then going to be taken to the surgery/into work for others to read. I had year subscriptions of 2 magazines last Christmas and have failed to do anything more than glance at them since October, so now I am flipping through them enjoying the articles.

I've also offered DDIL a metal A4 filing box for her important paperwork, so if she wants that, that'll be 3 things gone in 3 days. Nothing sold as yet but I plan to get fleabaying at the end of the week.

OK, off for some yummy carrot soup now. Granny x

Just had my Mr T CC bill and my payment for Dec is not showing, they split from R8S last year and their banking details changed as a result. I pay all my predators by SO and the payment left my bank on 3rd Dec, OHs left on the same day and went to the same account.

I rang Mr T and they confirmed they had received the payment iro OHs card and both mine and his for Jan 13 but not my Dec 12 payment. Luckily this hasn't affected my agreement with them, which apparently is in place until May 13. They are going to look at where the money has gone, possibly to a holding account somewhere, and hopefully will get it resolved.

I've changed the banking details now so future payments should go to the right place, (their letters told us we didn't need to do anything as they would make the amendments their end). I have also had to save my account and the old banking details on a note on my PC in case they cannot trace the payment. It's only £26, but that's £26 paid off predators that currrently is not showing up. As all my debts, except Store card and catalogue are already defaulted, it won't make any difference to my credit profile.

Some of my predator agreements are due to expire soon and I'll have to go through the whole rigmarole of writing to them again with an up to date statement of affairs to get them to continue. OHs other debt payment, (the one that bounced on NYE), went through on NYD instead, problem with H^lif^x banks on NYE apparently. The predator has also renewed his agreement for a further 12months with no hassle, which is annoying in one way, as he doesn't have to go through the bother I have to, but good in another as its one less thing to worry about.

BT have upgraded my home working internet phone line and I've spent a large part of today being thrown out of the system. I've just tried to use the phone and the line is really bad, looks like I'm going to have to call BT to get it looked at.

Anyway, I'm going to finish work now as I've done all I can really. Maybe chat later.

Thanks NL, we cross posted, I was pretty excited when it came up with only 89 payments, (which sounds so much better than 7.5 years)

I've actually cut 4 years off my DFD, (once made official), from where I was last May, which is amazing. Considering in 2007 I believed I'd leave this mortal world with debts behind me, even if I lived until I was 100, I'm a pretty happy Granny. I can now look forward to a DF retirement at least. (less than 8 years is looking pretty appealing right now and hopefully if things go to plan, it'll be less than that again). Just have to get OH on board a bit more.

Hope you are having a good day today.

So DS has confirmed that he wants the storage box, (will deliver it up with a bow wrapped around it and pretend its his birthday present). Declutter no2

I got distracted by the "buy no toiletries" thread earlier and have spent an hour today throwing away old/partially used/out of date/gone off toiletries that have languished in the drawers of my storage unit for years. So another declutter (no3), still not brought in any money though.

Luckily, OH hasn't noticed what's in the bag, (a full black bin-liner, :o), so cannot comment on the waste. (However, for me I wonder if this explains part of the reason I'm in the situation I am - well in fact I don't wonder it because I know its fact). In my defence mind you most of my throwaways were gifts from him and other kind family/friends who never know what to buy me so resort to toiletries. I can't resist opening new things and leaving the old ones to languish, no more though, from now on if I open it I use it, unless it brings me out in a rash.

OH didn't buy me any this year though as I told him before Xmas that I had too much already. (not even a bottle of bubble bath to be seen).

I'm still working on the magazines and it feels a bit of a cheat to count them as more than one declutter. So I'll read a few more before I take them to their new homes and only count them once.

Good news on the DF date moving closer, I'm very sure it will be a lot sooner as the more debt you pay off the more you can throw at the remaining debt. Plus, and I can vouch for this, the longer you spend clearer the debts the better your money saving habits become.

I also cleared a lot of old cosmetics/toiletries today. Surprising just how many brown eyeshadows a girl buys...and all the same shade, just different brands :o
