    Hi

I freeze hummus all the time - occasionally when it defrosts, it separates, just give it a stir, but mostly I find it defrosts just fine, and no loss of flavour/texture. At 5p a tub, I'd have snapped them all up ;)

    HTH

    LB xx

Thanks im gutted now i didnt buy the lot!!! :(

Im off to the July thread- see you all there :)

Hope you get better soon, Sue14 and debbiedeejay :(

I feel like a proud mother.....

Just bottled up my elderflower champagne with my youngest helping. Hopefully they will work out alright. Tastes nice as it is so hopefully should only improve.

As you can see, I had to improvise with my bottles... :rotfl:photo-130.jpg?t=1340797819

On another note me and my other half split up this morning so that's going to save me some money right there :D Katy, X

Sorry to hear that, but if he didn't do much for you and the kids you're better off without him. Take care.

Note to self - restock medicine cabinet with all generic meds once better -how expensive are some branded stuff over SM own brands is ridiculous especially on checking that they virtually carry same ingredients.I walked out of a local pharmacy yesterday as I refused to buy a cold/flu remedy branded at £4.08,bought similar one for £1.59 in Mr M's.

off to update sig and sniffle into a big hankie

I always get generic meds, as they have exactly the same ingredients as the branded but are much cheaper, even the doctors I used to work for agreed, mind you there were some patients who didn't like being given the generic version, as they thought they were being fobbed off with inferior meds! Hope you feel better soon, take care.

    Hi everyone,

I have just totalled up my monthly spend and I have £53 left to last me until Sunday. I am really pleased with this as I thought I would have blown my budget long before now.

Thanking you all for the inspiration and the motivation.

My granny used to give me rose petal sandwiches when I was a kid a bit like turkish delight. Oh see you went for rose petal jelly!

We are a family of four Dh and two sons aged 23 and 17 and me.I have been doing the GC for almost a month and have spent £50 a week,so it can be done.I was very sceptical before I tried it.

Well I plan to reduce my budget next month to £60 per week rather than £70.

I also plan to do a 2nd purse as the sausage man delivered my sausages this week which was £10.50 for 5LB which has had to come out of this months budget also I plan to get a little savier with shopping. I also plan to pay myself for eggs - sounds daft but we have our own chickens, so if I buy my own eggs the plan is second purse can buy chicken food etc

Thanks for the reply and support

    Hi everyone,

I'm on here until the 30th and am overbudget AGAIN - started off well and kinda lost it a bit mid-month. Hey ho, onwards.....

Tonight's dinner will be mini toad in the hole, with mini roasties, and veg. I'm getting some DR meat out of the freezer so I can slow-cook it tomorrow as I'm on a school trip with DD to the Science Museum. Won't feel like cooking after dealing with Yr 5s all day :rotfl:

Lunch today was a piece of JJs herby cheese bread - batch cooked it yesterday (x2) and frozen, plus some cherries. Worked this morning, needed a shower, then had to get to school for sports day, so just grabbed what was to hand. I suppose one counteracted the other :o

Should only need some evaporated milk for Friday's macaroni cheese plus normal milk and veg, then I think I'm done....hopefully......
