Yes Flo he is liver and white, i feel incredibly lucky to have found him and i really think he'll help me sleep better at night. Although all he'd do to any intruders at the moment is lick them to death :)

Didnt have to spend any extra money either, as the previous owners gave me the dog bowls, all his toys, his dog cage, all the food they had, treats, blankets etc, so i have not had to spend anything at all today.
Not bad i dont think. I paid £175 for him, including all of those extras, and they originally wanted £250.

So, its been a NSD for the GC today :) Will have to pop to Mr T at some point tomorrow, but i am happy to report a NSD today.
I thought you got the pup from the breeder. Crikey - 12 weeks old - those owners never had him long!

No, they only had him for 3 weeks Flo. Their 3yr old daughter didnt take to him, as she is a dinky thing, and he is quite a big thing!

Sorry, not really GC related, but can someone please point me in the direction of where i can find info on uploading a photo? I am trying to post a photo via my camera, to my DFD of Marley (our dog).
Not sure what you mean - I just take my photos - connect my digital camera to the computer and download.

Cleggie - Your puppy sounds adorable. It really doesn't seem that long ago since my dog was a pup and he's now 7. He's a labrador with a massive bark and he really does make me feel safe when I'm in the house on my own, so I'm sure your dog will too.

Fozzie - thinking of you and your DD and sending hugs.

JJ - hope your eyes get better soon.

Spent £9.54 in Mr.T's on a few bits and bobs I needed for my HM lasagne I'm making for tea tonight, with mostly HM garlic bread, and a couple of other bits. Was all on my list which I stuck to, so I'm very happy about that!

Will add this to my total. I'm fairly sure I'm going to be over budget, but it's my first attempt and I am learning loads as I go along, thanks to all you wonderful people!

I'm going to start making my own biscuits from now on, using the yummy looking recipes on here. Think it will work out alot cheaper than buying them from the supermarket. I've never really baked before so the first few attempts could be very interesting! :rotfl:

  • Rising - hope the dog is feeling better. I know I turn into a paranoid, overly possessive wreck when my pooch is poorly:o

Thanks Welsh - me too and I must admit to being worried sick as it's really not that long since I lost Ben and that's still very fresh.

Honestly, in the space of 2 hours she went from her normal (very) bouncy, happy self to being very ill - I guess they're like kids a bit in that way. The vet says that Labs are very "stoic" and just keep racing along even when they're under the weather and then just suddenly crash once whatever the problem is reaches a certain point.

Pleased to say her check up went well & temp is now back in normal range - I need to keep a close eye on her for the next 48 hours to make sure she doesn't go down again & she's to have restricted exercise for 5 days while she's on antibiotics.

We've just been around the block (literally 5 mins as pelting down here) and she's come in and has crashed straight out on the sofa again - we usually go around 5 miles and she comes home & wants to play with her toys almost straight away so she's def still not herself. Fingers crossed she continues to recover over the next few days.

(sorry not GC related at all :o)

Feeling quite guilty as have put off visiting DPs tomorrow (couldn't take Maisie as they have a dog in case it's something infectious & don't want to leave her alone yet) - will be the 1st time I've not made Fathers Day in years. DMs said we can have our own next week but .....

Cleggie I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been burgled, I can only imagine how that feels, and especially to walk in on them, so scary, but at least they only got some ‘stuff’ which is replaceable, and you and your family weren’t hurt, hope the dog makes you feel a bit more secure.

Fozzie, sorry to hear about your daughter, I had a lump removed when I was in my twenties so I know how worrying that can be, but luckily it turned out to be nothing, I hope your daughter’s test results are positive too.

Not been shopping all week, except to get milk (£1.35) from the local shop, but sent OH to get a few bits today as my sciatica has flared up again and I can hardly move, he stuck to the list and spent £13.19 in Mr M’s and £4 in i*ela*d.

Hello all I've been reading this thread for a bit, and have learn't so much from all you clever people . We have come to to the conclusion that our grocery shopping has got total out of hand and we need to do something! Spending way too much on rubbish and every tea time not having any idea what we can make . My plan is to meal plan is to meal and cook more from fresh and stop spending a fortune on processed rubbish . I can't wait to join the GC is it best to start at the beginning of July or start my month on the 20th June when my hubby gets paid ? Also thanks to this thread had a little victory today we ran out of coffee so popped to the shops as hubby can't function without it! And only bought coffee, if I hadn't have read this would have easily have come out £15 pounds lighter with stuff I don't really need, so a big thank you .
