Ooh, and yesterday was a NSD for GC. I ate beef stew day 3 (all gone now, phew!) and then me and bubba had macaroni cheese for tea - mmm, cheese and carbs, can't fault it. We also extended our NSD to visiting the library and bypassing the shops.
Hubby, however, is on a stag weekend, so no clue what he's spent yet. Ah well, he works hard and deserves a weekend off now and then.MFW start date:22.6.13 - £138555 9.7.13 - £125937

It's been in there a year- would you use it or not?
I would defrost it and smell it once defrosted. If it smells OK, i'd use it.0 -

Morning All!
DH is polishing off his breakfast in bed. I treated him to sausage, bacon, beans, egg, fried bread and a mug of tea so he is happy. One wash load on the line and another in the machine. Now to clean up the kitchen.
I hope you all have a great day xxGC Mar 11 £437.08Apr 11 £459.26 May 11 £485.52 June 11 £423.79July 11 £409.22 Aug 11 £250.10Sept 11 £396.14Oct 11 £382.37Nov 11 £372.55Dec 11 £332.29 Jan 12 £375.19:Feb 12 £349.58Mar 12 £279.66Apr 12 £249.12May 12 £337.66/Jun 12 £362.58/Jul 12 £317.03/Aug 12 £354.02/Sept £439.72/Oct 12 £210.160 -

Defnitely! When it defrosts, give it a sniff, as long as it smells ok it is ok. Cook it soon, though.

It'll be fine! I often use stuff that is that old or even older, and I'm still breathing!! I reckon some of the stuff at the back of my freezer is much older than that!Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Oi! Stop making the rest of us mere mortals look bad
Only joking. Well done on such a productive start to a Sunday morning.
I've sorted out the 2 storage chests this morning of "grow into" clothes for the kids. Their wardrobes are now sorted out.
I have a bag of clothes already advertised on freecycle and another bag for the kids' cousin to have. Feel much better as it was a job I knew had to be done for ages.
Not sure about our dinner plans as OH is helping someone move out today do only wants a flask of cocoa and a sandwich to take along.
Will have a firk on the freezer later....
Have a good one, whatever you are doing peeps.
Yet another NSD for me as still can't drive due to my eye.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Well, given that the sky is greyer than old socks and I really CBA to go anywhere today, it IS going to be an NSD.I've got enough stuff in to last us today and into tomorrow so I'm not even going to venture out. Tea tonight is going to be a skinny lasagne as I've found a 2 portion block of minced beef in the freezer. It'll be put together in the same kind of way, just using less cheese and making the sauce with skimmed milk (from the box in the cupboard, actually). Might even break the garlic bread in the freezer in half to make it last a bit longer (And so our waistlines become less waste and more line!)
Have a good day, everyone.
