Yep, it has been an NSD for me today for which I am grateful. We've been out for a walk and managed to bypass the ice creams!
Sorry for your loss, Meg. Thinking of you, and well done with the freezer. I'm not sure I would have coped half as well as you. (hugs)

I had abit of a frustrating episode in Mr T's last night
OH want to stock up on some beer (not part of the GC) and I had a £6 off £40 spend so we went Mr T's and brought 2 cases of beer £15 each 2x small packs of beer £5.64 each or 2 for £8 and to make to money to over £40 a box of cat food
The total bill came to £42 with the moc and OH paid, well in the car on the way home I was adding up the shopping in my head and it just didnt balance so when we got home and looked at recepit (it was in the car boot!) they had charged us for 3 x small packs of beer ie the bill was £5.64 more than it should be
We drove back to Tesco and they did give us a refund for the £5.64 but im still miffed about the wasted time/petrol
The thing is before GC i wouldnt have even gave the bill a second thougt!! I wonder how many 'mistakes' by the sm I have missed and how much money it has cost me
I dont like MR T's and this just cements that feeling
RING THE 0800 505555 customer care number for Tesco.
You should have been given twice as much back!!!!!
The Tesco policy for overcharging is that they give you double the overcharge back.
Explain what happened and they will happily send you a gift card with the correct amount credited on it!!!!!!
Grrrr. I hate how Tesco customer service staff instore never follow the policy that is written clearly on the wall behind the desk!!!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Meg, I'm so very sorry about the loss of your mother.
I dread the time when I am in that position as no relationship is as special

Asda delivery arrived - £59.43 inc delivery, but we'll get £2 back as handed the (substituted) razors back to the driver (they'd swapped OH's expensive disposable ones for super cheap ones, he was not impressed :rotfl:
Annoyingly they substituted my nice branded grass fed stewing steak for normal asda casserole beef. Worse, the original one was on offer, £7 for 2 packs, so I'd ordered an extra for the freezer, but they only gave me one pack of the other stuff even though that was also also on offer for 2 for £7 (why?!). So I had to pay £4.20 for one on its own that wasn't as good as what I'd ordered, not impressed! Would have returned it but needed it for today's steak pie

So sorry to hear this, how scary for you. Like you say, hopefully if you get a dog that will help.
Good luck with both of these things Fozzie - hope everything goes OK.
At the moment, I am just using optrex along with the chloramphenicol ointment.
I need to research it though as I am unhappy with how the medication ends up in my throat (tear ducts spill over to the throat). I only realised this after having the eye stain for the eye examination on Thursday. I had a strong chemical taste and every time I spat, neon stuff kept coming out that had reached my throat:eek:
I don't want to put chemicals into my eyes long term that could create health issues as they will inevitably be ingested.
I will research to see if there is a healthy option.
Mrs C recommended cornflower as an eye wash so there must be over the counter stuff too?:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Meg - sorry to hear your sad news, my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. Well done for facing the freezer - I'm not sure I would have been up to the task in the circumstances, having said that my own Mum hates waste so it would have made her annoyed if I hadn't tackled it!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
