I will check all the docs when they arrive in the post. Hopefully soon!
I dont get why i had a lump sum today as i earnt more last year by 2500 than estimated and although my monthly payments are about 60£ a month less this year i thought that was to cover the overpayment but why still pay a lump sum!!
She told me it was complete on the phone and told me my future payments so hopefully thats it not till next year!
will update this thread when i evetually get the paper work.
My friend wonders why hers is still not done yet as shes expecting an underpayment and a lump sum. She had her renewal pack 3 days after me but renewed 7 days before me.0 -
Hello Georgia
I am not hundred percent sure but I do know that that payment relates to the award for the forthcoming year and will be titled provisional 2012/13.
This is why I want my final award to hurry up and be finalized as I don't want to owe anything or be owed anything from last years award.
As I said earlier received a small credit amount 5 days after I had renewed(22.4.12) but still no finalized award for 2011/12:rotfl:0 -
And if we have over payed it will effect the 'provisional' award they gave you over the phone which you should receive documents for shortly.0

I have not even been issued with the renewal pack yet. Spoke to a very nice and helpful lady this morning just after 8am. Turns out that as my daughter was 16 in January she is now not entitled to an award unless we confirm that she is still in non advanced further education, which means that you have to tell them that she will start Year 12 on 1st sept 2012. This was done via the call and I also updated my bank details, still had originals from 2001 and of course they'd changed. And although our earnings last year were just over £26k, this year it is estimated that they should be at most £24.5K. Am hoping that this means an extra £8 or so per week over basic amount. We had not received any CTC for past several years as we had a big overpayment to get rid of, which was done by taking back basic CTC each year. We are now almost square with approx £7.39 left to pay. I was told to expect to hear about our award in 4 weeks, but that meanwhile payments may restart shortly. Not holding my breath but at least we will get something now.
My advice to anyone who thinks and overpayment may be happening is to put aside what they think the OP is and not to spend it, that way you will not get into the kind of problems I had. Has taken us 7 years to pay it all back!0 -

Are you sure it is a renewals pack you have received? You have until 31st July normally to send figures back.
Is it a letter? What is the address at the top of it?

It says Tax credits Annual review for year ended 05/04/2012.
basic form to fill in, then at the bottom it says if we do not hear from you by 25/05/2012,your payments will stop.

Your total earnings for the year should be on your last wage slip which would be either month 12 or week 52/53 (depending on your pay day). You can use this figure as it should be the same as what is on your P60. (Tax credits have confirmed this when I called to renew as I don't get my P60 till june)April GC 9th-7th may £0/£3200 -
thank you for that i will give them a call tomorrow when i get my pay slip.
