I think initially They would call your employer to check your details and call your Nursery or childcare provider. Then if information does not add up they will ask of you to provide hard copies of P60 and Paper copies of nursery invoices.0

I am wondering if anyone has had their review finalised as yet?
As far as I can tell the mentioned documents and payments below are your provisonal award notices for this future financial year, not the final award for last year.
Has anyone received their finalised award, period ending 31.3.12? This should be the one that triggers any lump sum payment oustanding.
I renewed on the 24th April, received my provisional next years award and small outstanding payment the following Friday.
I called last week(very scary)lol and was told that it had not been processed as yet(partially complete) and that it could take up to 6 weeks.0 -
OK from the other posts here I am guessing that next years awards have been processed if you have called to renew already but the finalization of last years claims have not?
Oh I have child care element and my provisonal award for the coming year was processed within a week.
It is just the finalization of last years I am awaiting.0 -
I also have child care and I renewed the 26th April still haven't heard anything getting stressed out as money low0

My renew pack was sent out on 3 May. I recieved it on 11 May and phoned them the same day to renew. I was told not to phone back till 8 June as the system can take up to 4 weeks to update.
However I really need to know my budget over the next few months so tried my luck today and called them. The lady said my award notice had been issued today and gave me my new figures. I receieve ctc and wtc but dont claim childcare costs.
Have been [STRIKE]amazed [/STRIKE] pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the renewal has gone. Was expecting weeks of waiting around to sort it all out. The staff have all been very helpful and polite too which is a pleasant change. I have spoken to some right hum-dingers at tax credits in the past! The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
Ive had a small extra payment today so called to see if it was finalised and hoorah they could tell me my new payment schedule so any overpayment has reduced my monthly payments which i am pleased about. Hope thats it now for this year!0

That's good news Georgia, how about your friend? has the waiting finally ended for her also?
At least you can relax (until this time next year!).

Hello sorry to keep on but has anyone received their finalized award for last year?
THIS IS NOT THE AWARD NOTICE FOR THE FORTHCOMING YEAR.
I called my renewal in on 22/4/12 and received a small payment and my award for the forthcoming year.
I called today for an update regarding the final award for last year( this is the part you provide your P60 figures for) I spoke to a lovely man whom said it was listed as being with the processing team. Does anyone know what this means and how long it will take to process from here?
I have not yet received any request for additional information although I am aware of others that have.
The advisor was unable to tell me anything other than they are processing 11 mil other claims so couldnt give a time scale.
Thank you.:T0 -

My friend who has been waiting longer who is expecting a underpayment has still not heard but shes too scared to call!
She is self employed so dont know if thats delaying it and she has childcare.
After just reading Louise post it makes me wonder if mine really is finalised, until i see the actual paper work im not holding my breath!
Although my last question to the lovely lady at tax credit was are these my definately payments for next year and it is finalised she said yes.
Hope so x0 -
Georgia, I too didnt like calling as they have been quite rude in the past. Although I got Mr nice today.
To clarify check the docs you have received if they say they are forthcoming year payments (2012/13) then yes you are still waiting for last years finalized documents, which may trigger a lump sum payment if you were underpaid.
Be brave and give them a call. Just tell them that you are concerned that you should be putting aside money in case you were overpaid and would they please have a quick look if last years has been finalized.
I dont think childcare makes a difference to processing times just if you have been selected for a check and it appears from what I have heard that you would have received this request within two weeks of receiving your renewal pack.0
