How awful is that
Poor family. How on earth do you deal with something like that. I could weep for them.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
That's absolutely horrific for the poor family. As you say, certainly puts things into perspective. Hope you slept well XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Sleep didn't come easy last night and on facebook this morning many colleagues and I have been up since early doors so I am assuming we've all been the same. I just can't believe it tbh. Feeling very helpless.
So today I am not intending going anywhere or spending any money unless you count the £800 I am paying the plumber and joiner for my gutters etc . DD is away looking at cars with her friend but I have warned her not to buy without me being with her. My petrol bill would certainly decrease :rotfl:.
Going to have a lazyish day now as everything is done. Washing is out and ironing is done :A. I will catch upon all the telly I hav:A missed. Going to finish a wee cardigan I am knitting5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

ok SBO we will skip along together into debt freeness
Well DD bought a car tonight. It's just lovely. A wee white fiesta. We took her Dad with us ( even tho I can't abide him) as he used to be a car salesman and he managed to get her the same rate as the staff get which is 4%. That's brilliant so we are very pleased. Her deposit was £300 and I have given her half of it - Mrs moneybags here. I will save loads from this though as she will come off of my insurance and also the petrol usage will definitely go down
. She has been desperate for a car and she doesn't really go out much so I am happy for her to do this.
Hopefully tomorrow will be expensive for me too as DS will be getting his results for his standard grades. Apparently texts are arriving at 2am so no doubt I will be rudely awakened then to be told what he has got.
At least after tomorrow I will know where I stand finances wise and can make a plan . I am keeping everything crossed that I will have no more issues or big expenses any time soon.
Dinner tonight made from leftover chicken from yesterday and was fantastic. Chicken pasta arrabiata. Nom nom nom and cheapo.
Am knitting scarves for winter from wool I got for free. Nice fluffy wool which will keep me cosy. I hope everyone is okay xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good luck to DS for today.
Safe driving to DD! Thats fabulous.
Heres to many months of skipping in a positive and productive wayTrying to shift that debt!0 -
Evening all. What an exciting day in our house. DS got better results than we could ever have expected and woke me at 3.15am to share this news with me when the e-mail arrived. He got a mix of A's.1's,2's and 3's and 1 C so I am delighted. Now just imagine what he could have got if he had lifted a book;). You just can't tell them though. So that cost me £300 but worth eery penny as his face has been beaming all day. Also spent £20 on Dominos for dinner as a celebratory treat.
DD got her finance approved and picks up her car tomorrow and excited just doesn't even begin to describe what she is like. I paid her big first installment on her car and that cost me £185 BUT I am getting £195 refunded from my policy and it is down by £75 per month for the remainder of the policy so I am happy happy with that.
So fingers crossed all spends finished with and I can now concentrate on debt paying and saving for Christmas and next year's holiday. Am actually looking forward to it as spending scares me these days. So frugal life from now on. I can't do totals until end of month but I am starting as of now to stop this spending spiral.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
