  • OMG . What a day . I am an emotional happy wreck :D. Today was my charity day in work and it was so awesome. I have baked since the weekend but was still slightly panicked incase I did not have enough cakes and sweets for everyone BUT I had enough for everyone 3 times over at least as my amazing, fantastic workmates came up trumps and we had more cakes than Greggs today. I had nearly 100 bags of sweets which sold like hotcakes. We Scots love our tablet so that sold out very quickly. I served the 300 staff with tea/coffee and a slice of cake and held a tombola which had about 150-200 prizes which were donated by family. friends and colleagues. The most ever raised in work for a charity day is £700ish and I raised DRUMROLL............£1,100 :D:D:D:D:D. So so happy. Was an emotional wee MIT today. I had set a target of £1,000 but really thought I was aiming too high but I smashed it. I have now been invited onto the charity committee.

So other news in MIT world. I lost another 3.5lbs last night but have just eaten a chinese and ate carp all day. In saying that I have been on my feet all day and ran about like a headless chicken. So I have lost 32.5lbs in total which is grand :D. Wasted £20 on a chines mind you. Oh to be back at the days when 1 dinner could be shared amongst the 3 of us :rotfl:.

Pay day today so will put £200 in DD's account for her holiday and pay her passport. I will pay the money back to my slush fund and then overpay a couple of hundred to Tesco. Would have been great to pay all £800 extra straight off of Tesco but tbh I am very happy to help DD out.

So all in all a very content MIT tonight and I hope everyone has some contentment in their life today xxx

Well done MIT :j That is an amazing amount of money.

    Great wieght loss too!

Dont blame you on the tablet, it is beautiful. It is almost impossible to get proper tablet in England. We went to a fun fair recently that was selling some in pick n mix, £10 later (:o) I got home and tasted it and it was rank :rotfl:That'll teach me for being greedy! Im abit scared to have a go at making it tbh.

    Hope Friday finds you well.

  • Princess it is easy to make, you just need patience. If you want my recipe let me know and I'll get it to you. It's so lovely :D

I have stopped today for a week and I have never been so happy to get some time off :D:D:D:D:j:j:j:j:j. I am shattered. I just want a nice chilled week.

I will work in the house tomorrow and get it spic and span. Hopefully it will still be dry and I can get my washing out and dried. I will also do the ironing and I can then relax and enjoy my time off. If I decide to do some cleaning then I will and if I decide to sit on my b*tt and knit then I will do that. But I do not want to spend all week chasing my tail and stressing out because the place is untidy. That's my plan anyway ;)

New council tax bill in and it is £102 per month . I know loads of you will be much more than that but b*gger. Everything is just going up and up and I am getting sick of it tbh.

Paid £250 to tesco today and I hope it goes nice and quickly :D

  • Evening folks. Not been out today other than into the garden to hang out the washing. What a gorgeous day :D. Washing still damp but smells fab. I do love getting it out in the fresh air.Spring is defo on its way :D.

Tidied up downstairs today and hoovered through up to top of stairs then I stopped :o. Couldn't be bothered to do any more so sat down and did some knitting :D. Finished the cardy I was working on and am going to finish another one that has been on my needles for years :o. I then have lovely aran wool to do a hoody for DD so I am looking forward to getting on with that. I have loads of sewing to do as well so I will get into that during the week.

So today is day1 of 9 days off :D. I have no plans other than sewing and knitting and catching up on the telly. I might do some work around the house and garden but then again I may not :rotfl:.

I bought 2 wall transfers today. One bright yellow one of a family of rubber ducks for my bathroom wall and a huge chinese symbol saying family for my hall. I love them. My house is quite modern and they will look fab. I am loving these wall transfers but will need to stop buying them as I have 2 in my room, 1 in DD's room, 2 in loo and now one for hall. My brother has taken an abstract pic of my son with a camera up at his face and I am going to get it put onto canvas. I want him to do one of DD's eyes and I will get that on a canvas too and hall will be complete :D. It's looking really nice. I might strip and paint the kitchen when I am off. Not getting DD to do it though as she takes too bloody long .

Nice wee chilled night tonight knitting again :D

  • Naughty Princess with washing still on line . I wouldn't dare up here as someone would nick it :rotfl:.

I've sent you the tablet recipe. Enjoy :D

So nice wee quiet day today. No kids as DD has a dancing competition through in Motherwell and DS is away on a rare visit to his Dad's. Tells you quite a story when he insists on taking a friend every time he goes as he is so bored :roll eyes:

I spent last night sewing up hems on trousers as I am small and everything is too long for me. I finished off 2 cardy's. Need buttons for one of them and plain wool to sew up the other one. I am going to start on DD's hoody today and watch a wee film in peace and quiet. Ironing will maybe get done tonight but hey there is no rush :D.

Does anyone know of a site that I can use to upload pics on here as for some reason I just cannot register on photobucket and would love to share pics at times.I want to show you my cardy's and my hall when it is done :D
