  • Just knackered the NSD :o. Bought handles for a wee bag I want to knit. I have spare aran wool going to waste and this bag is ultra cute and deserves to be knitted. I then made the mistake of looking at knitting patterns and have spent £12 :oBUT in my defense I will use them and get started on next years Christmas pressies PLUS DD has been wanting an aran hoodie for months so one is for that. I managed to not buy , despite going back to look at it 3 times, the silvery sparkly wool to knit a Christmas cardy. Wool would have cost £3o . I will get it nearer Christmas as it is stunning but I am not sure yet what size I will be then :D

  • Hi all , well i owe 7,000 on credit cards and am verrrrry slowly starting to see them coming down, well anyway im annoyed as everytime i seem to be progressing with my debts summit happens to take money away from me again lol , i sold stuff on ebay and made £85 which i was well happy with then son came home with holey shoes so he needed £40. For new pair then my boss gave me 6 more hours a wk work which will be £160 extra a month then i got a text reminding me my car due for second year service and it will cost £276 aaaaahhhhh annoying , anyway rant over i feel better now lol
  • Aww kitty what a shame. It's a b ummer when things like that happen but the consolation is that at least due to all your carefulness you have cash in hand to pay for these things rather than putting them on a card :D.

At work today and I swear it is sucking the life out of me :rotfl:. I'm wishing my life away every day in there. :rotfl:.I really should be grateful I have a job but . Anyway I will soldier on

Poor DD was getting a bit frantic tonight about how little time she has left to pay her holiday to Florida so I told her that I would give her £200 towards it. She said no but I had always intended helping her out and I am delighted to be able to do so easily due to all the overtime I have done. Sometimes things are more important than paying off debt . Not often though :rotfl:. She said the relief she feels is enormous. I have already promised I would pay her passport so I better get that done ASAP. It's her birthday in April so I will take her shopping for some clothes for going away. Only going to let her take 1 weeks worth of stuff although she is going for 3 weeks as she will buy everything in sight when she gets there.

Made more cakes tonight for my charity day so I have about 50 fairy cakes now. Only 250 to get . I did buy crispies tonight though tomake some chocolate crispy cakes. Folks have started handing in prizes as well for the tombola so fingers crossed it all goes well. I'm very excited about it all.

Bought some fruit tonight and some flowers as it is my Dad's anniversary today but didn't spend overly much. Really missing both my parents today tbh but I'm bound to have days like that. Grave looks lovely and spring like as I have loads of daffodils and tulips in it so it is bright and cheerful, My Mum always loved daffodils so I will get them for as long as I can.

Going to get on with my knitting now xx

  • :j:j:j:j:j 3.5lbs off this week so I have broken through the 2 stone barrier. I am soooooooooooooooooooooo pleased :j:j:j:j:j:j.

Been walking last night and tonight for a few miles and very enjoyable it was too. Lovely catch up with friends whilst doing it and great exercise to boot. Downloaded the runkeeper app on my phone and managed nearly 3 miles tonight and burnt off 384 calories. Going to aqua aerobics tomorrow night. I must admit that the thought of baring my body to get into the swimming pool is somewhat worrying me but I need to do this to get where I want to be. I want to try and get another stone off by Easter and 2 by summer :D. Need to stay motivated. Not much to report on the spending front though :D.

This is my time now folks :D and am loving it :D

Best win so far - holiday to Florida
  • We certainly will PLMBL. Cos we are ra people :j

Went to aqua aerobics tonight for the first time. I really enjoyed it. I managed everything and it was so easy to do. No doubt I'll not be able to move tomorrow :D. I forgot my swimming cossie was a bit naff and I had a slight wardrobe malfunction where one of my puppies fell out when I was being slightly over enthusiastic :o:o:o:o:o. New cossie now ordered. Over shoulder boulder holder type of suck me in cossie. Nothing will escape this bad boy . I hope it's here before next week. Didn't pay for the class as the girl I was with insisted on paying as I have run her about a few times. Will be £4.50 normally but so worth it as I really enjoyed it.

Bought some wool today for an aran hoodie for DD. Was £12 so not that bad. Bought a workmate a wee box of sweeties for her birthday tomorrow and was £8.50 for lunch for DD and I so a wee spendy day and not one thing should be on my need list :o but I wanted to do the jumper for DD and I wanted to meet her for lunch as we rarely get time on our own and I like my colleague and sweets were only £1.99 so I am justifying my spends lol

Nothing else to report and I am off to bed as I am shattered after being in swimming pool

  • :)Hi all well mit well done on your aerobics water class so funny about escaped puppie lol , i done water aerobics along time and loved it maybe ill do again sometime , well since i last posted saying i was annoyed that everytime i try to save something happens well last night my microwave literally blew itself up theres a hole burnt right threw back of it. So i must get a new one as i work different times and kids like to cook quickly and easily in micro never mind maybe next month ill be able to save something although i did open a santander e savings account and have set up a standing order of £50 a month to go straight into it on my main payday as im determined to save something from my extra 24hours a month new job i got anyway all have great weekend:)
  • Flasher!!!
Am glad you had fun, that will be excellent for you.

And the weight loss is brilliant. x
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Hi Kitty , Boo Hiss to the microwave blowing up. My kids would starve if we had no micro. I always forget to defrost food so I use the micro all the time. Kids use it to heat up their food as well instead of using pots. Just the one dish to clean then ;).

Am shattered tonight. A bit sore across the shoulders after swimming last night. Was moving files about all day so I could get my team better organised so that was a work out. Then came home and shampooed my hall carpet and manky rug from DS's room. Now going by the amount of muck that was sucked up the carpets should be spotless but alas, no. They are just done I reckon but hey ho no money for new ones just now as I want the debt gone first.

Got my payslip today. I have £800 extra clear :D. Going to give DD £200 and then pay £70 for her passport. I need trainers desperately and I owe my slush fund £170 :o so will have approx £360 for cc and I am happy for that as it is all extra and I am very happy to be able to help DD.
